    Pros

As a big conglomerate, the company is stable & well structured. Not a bad place if you want to experience Korean/APAC culture and work life in conglomerate/Korean Chaebol.

    Cons

Extreme work-life unbalance, very high politics, no vision from management.

    Advice to Management

Hire & promote those who can speak bitter words in front of you, not those who play loyalty game & politics.
Delegate to professionals/experts, not thise only loyal to you. Or stop trying to make every decision fooled by false belief you're always right.

    Pros

Hmm.. LG is the 2nd largest electronics company in Korea.

LG is big Konzern. So employees get many welfare.

    Cons

    - Terrible decision-making process in ?? R&D division
. ?? is the product name. I don't want to open.
. Nobody say 'No' in front of the boss of ?? R&D division
. Only one man, the boss ordered everything
. In leaders meeting, the boss was suddenly finding any engineer whether he/she was invited or not

    - When you made a bug...
. If you made a bug, you wrote many emails and reports.
. You joined the leader meeting and you stood the center of meeting room, you explained the bug and the plan to resolve.
. And you fixed until midnight. You did not fix it daytime, because you must stayed the meeting.
. If you did not solve the issue, you must repeat previous processes.

    - Extreme working time
. I worked 100 hours for a week. I worked weekends and I slept in the office building.
. My colleague worked 120 hours in a week. It is real.
. Over working is demanded from the team leader or the boss
. You can not control your time yourself

    Advice to Management

Engineer is not typing machine. They are human and they are expert more and more than you.

    Pros

Big business - lots to learn and great to build your career. Good benefits on welfare.

    Cons

No work and life balance. You have to work on weekedns if ncessary. You work to satisfy the Top management. We say Global, not still so "Korean". So many reports to make to so many top level. Same reports are made several times in different formats. Too inefficient.

    Advice to Management

Need to be really 'Global'. Do not force the Korean style to overseas employees.
