Former Employee - Project Manager in Teddington, London, England (UK)

I worked at LGC full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Always work to do, a diverse company so can consider career change within. Benefits are decent if you make the most of them. Holiday leave is excellent.

    Cons

Pay is below industry standard. Bonuses and performance reviews are not great. Difficult to progress. Only possible if someone leaves.
Forensic division is overworked and underpaid. Overtime is given, but commonsense would suggest that you hire more staff to relieve the burden.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better Career structure and progression.

    I worked at LGC

    Pros

Good work life balance. Friendly supportive atmosphere to work in.

    Cons

Staff support and development is lacking. Due to budgeting issues promotions are not frequent and difficult to advance in a top heavy organisation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Staff support is essential to continue investing in staff and to maintain loyalty. Career structure should be transparent and management should actively encourage and support staff needs to meet their career objectives
