Advice to Senior Management
Great company to work for, but don't lose focus on the need to reward the best and replace the worst.

Cons

Advice to Senior Management
More process automation and more process structure.
Pros
benefiys, room to grow. great environment
Cons
hard to become permanent employee
Pros
Large national footprint in the Real Estate Development world and CMBS. Management was always fair. Was great from 99-07 in the go-go years of real estate development.
Cons
Hard to advance. Salary could be more competitive.
Advice to Senior Management
More out of the box thinking, especially these days.
Pros
They have a fantastic benefits package and offer generous salaries.
Cons
Terribly obvious glass ceiling. Senior management is very condescending to support staff.
Advice to Senior Management
To value the support staff more, stop treating them like second-class citizens with a different set of rules to obey then management.
Pros
The company is highly regarded in the industry, and has a long history of excellent business dealings. I have found the salary to be fair for this role and this level of experience.
Cons
There tends to be a focus on tenure at the company, instead of whether or not an employee is performing. There is also a great disparity among the individual business functions regarding comp increases, bonuses, and general levels of respect within the organization. It also seems as though we are operating without an HR department.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on performance rather than reputation. Be fair to all employees, not just the "high profile" ones. Recognize how your statements impact the individuals who work for you. Get rid of dead weight. Promote for achievement, not by attrition.
Pros
LNR has taught me a lot about the real estate industry, and I've been able to learn a great deal from my position and my direct management. I've been lucky to work with many great people within the company. The PTO and benefits packages are very good.
Cons
There is a lot of employee turnover due to a few poor managers and people who have been with the company for quite some time and feel they can treat others however they choose. The HR department is very difficult to deal with and not professional at all. I haven't felt valued as an employee since I've worked for LNR. Also, raises are only determined once a year.
Advice to Senior Management
I think the biggest issue is HR and how employees treat each other. HR doesn't step in and take action when there is a real issue to deal with, and yet they love to micromanage. There is not much of a real structure within the company, and although its an entrepreneurial company, management needs to figure out how to inspire instead of drag down their employees.
