Pros
Very good pay and benefits.
Cons
Executive management will not allow challenges that may impact company risk or future success.
Advice to Senior Management
The stock price and market cap are good gauges for success over the long term. The past 5-6 years would show that decisions made were not respected by the market nor did they add value to shareholders. Admitting this and taking a different direction would be a good decision.
Pros
Relative good benifit; compensation is comparable to similar industries.
Cons
bureaucratic management, few advancement oppertunity.
Pros
It was a fun place to work
Cons
Sometimes one of the upper management personal was difficult
Pros
people that work there are cool.
Cons
management is terrible. they burn so many bridges and lose so many clients that your always switching to a new team. appraisers suck. its like baby sitting. these guys are supposed to be professionals and never turn in there reports bc lsi pays them so low that they are last on the list of things to do. then managers yell at you bc the reports arent in.
Advice to Senior Management
wake up
Pros
Good salary
Good work/life balance
Interesting work
Cons
Management initiatives sometimes taken without consulting front line staff, resulting in wasted effort as initiatives are often abandoned after a short time
Chance for internal promotion is low as hiring is limited due to outsourcing to Indian and China
Advice to Senior Management
Mid-level management should get early feedback from front line staff before implementing grandiose initiatives as to not waste everybody's time
Pros
Benefits are simply awesome! They are far better than any company I have ever worked for. Medical, dental, vision and even profit sharing!
Cons
Upper management tries to pinch pennies in all of the wrong places while allowing others to boon dogle and waste tons of money. Most employees do the work of several people while others (the good ol boys) do absolutely nothing. You have heard of the "good ol boys club" well this company defined it.
Advice to Senior Management
Never forget that buying cheap to save money is like stopping a clock to save time. It just doesn't work.
Pros
Excellent Work Life Balance and benifits are very good.
Managers care about your needs and help you in when needed
Cons
Not enough room for growth and upper management is not finding right mix for success of company even though there is potential
Pros
Experience of employees is an asset.
Cons
Old boys network and prejudice holds the productivity down. Middle management focus on short term self preservation.
Advice to Senior Management
Reforming the middle management and dismantling the old boys network at all levels and the prejudice that comes with it will unlock the potential of the talented employee base and can make LSI succeed.
Pros
Work in LSI is quite easy. There is little stress and pressure on work in LSI. A lot of engineer come to work after 10 am and leave for home before 6pm. we have a lot of time with family.
Cons
can not learn anything because I have been doing the same thing for over 10 years and I feel so bored.
Advice to Senior Management
LSI need better management team. we have too many meetings and wasting time and a lot of political issues.
Pros
Allentown is good place close to NY or other bigger city. But living cost is low here. People at LSI here are easy going.
Cons
No similar company is around here. It means if you lost the job, you have to be relocated for another one.
