I have been working at LSI Industries full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Many great employees that support each other.

    Cons

Still run like a family business in a negative way. Many managers have no managerial experience only LSI job experience. They should not be managers so the employees suffer...no advancement opportunities, no yearly reviews, negative environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on company culture, you have some great, dedicated employees that would perform so much better if they were treated better or shown some respect or appreciation.

I worked at LSI Industries full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great Industry, and a lot of potential market growth.

    Cons

The nepotism is unreal. Unfortunately, this company could be in a phenomenal position; however, due to keeping unqualified friends and family in key positions they will continue to flounder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get someone in who will clean house and fill positions with people that are qualified, then give them the power to make actual decisions. Take advantage of the abilities and skill sets in your employees, there are some great ideas that are falling on deaf ears that do not know how to carry out and execute critical plans.

Company founders as well as family members do not put them selves above any employee and strongly recognize everyone hard work and dedication. Long term commitment is rewarded with vacation packages. Work forces is very diverse and multicultural. Company has open door policy where anyone can express new ideas or just have opportunity to speak with management directly. Employees are encouraged to multitask and learn new skill sets. Promotion within is critical as well as new employee reference. Company is very much committed to manufacture within USA an ownership strongly supports local manufacturing. LSI is also not afraid to invest in future such as machinery and self-reliance.

    Cons

Lack of tuition reimbursement programs for employee who would like to go back to school or attend flexible education.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better focus on those employees who do work of multiple positions and reward accordingly.
Provide flexible work schedule options for salary employee as well as office hourly if financial compensation is not available.
