Pros
Balance of work and life
Cons
Too many round of lay offs
Advice to Senior Management
Focus and make money
Pros
interesting technical problems to solve, good customers and opportunities, deep talent pool, cooperative environment among peers, flexible work terms, decent benefits, good pay
Cons
morale is very low, working here is "just a job" unless you get really excited about the science project or fire fight of the day. management cannot stick to decisions, continuously overcommit then blame rank and file when they can't deliver to unrealistic schedules. second level execs suck up to salesman CEO. compliant board ensures nothing will ever change. loads of zombie projects that lose money and no one is ever held accountable. NO professional development because top management is happy to have the company run by amateurs and old boys network.
Advice to Senior Management
please retire and let some new blood in
Pros
Salary was above average, in my experience. People were good to work with.
Cons
Lack of advancement & learning new software methods & technologies. Not very interesting work.
Advice to Senior Management
Find a way to improve job security for performing employees. Layoff history is very demotivating.
Pros
Used to be a very good company to work for.
Cons
Long term outlook, Stability, security.
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate better with employees on company direction.
Pros
Salaries are higher than average. Allows for a good work-life balance.
Cons
The place is run by imbeciles, who's only goal is to run the company into the ground. Lavi lev did the most damage, leaving a skeleton of a company for LTX to swallow. Unfortunately only bare bones remain, as they kill off their only profit making product lines. if they haven't been RIF'd, then the good workers are leaving on their own, as soon as an opening somewhere else becomes available. don't waste your hard-earned degrees here.
Advice to Senior Management
Quit, while you can still get a package.
Pros
they do pay fairly well
Cons
the management doesn't communicate with employees, no cross communication between groups.
Advice to Senior Management
Get a clue, and support your employees.
