I worked at Lakeside Association full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Wonderful staff, location, and atmosphere.
Cons – Seasonal, low pay, tend to be inefficient and wasteful with money at times
Advice to Senior Management – I would try to lower costs by negotiating rates between suppliers.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Lakeside Association as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Nice location, good thing to put on your resume
Cons – Unbelievably disorganized, managed poorly, interns are left ragged and taken advantage of due to high expectations and low pay, living arrangement is horrible unless you get lucky with a normal roommate, the mgmt team makes you think that the internship program will be the key to a successful career and life when in reality it is just another internship and is in no way your golden ticket to a job after graduation, the corporate culture is horrible--feels like a cult.
Advice to Senior Management – Get your act together. It would benefit you to lay out realistic expectations to the interns before they get there. It isn't all rainbows and butterflies just because of the location. PAY BETTER. It is morally repugnant that you pay the interns around 2 bucks an hour once it's all said and done with lofty promises that the internship will land them the job of their dreams.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Lakeside Association
Pros – Great location. Good activities on location to participate in. Pretty flexible with scheduling. Very nice GM.
Cons – Upper VP management don't seem to care about improving the business. They blow a lot of smoke and say things like, "You(employees) are very important to us...blah, blah" than they through us under a bus.
Advice to Senior Management – Would it kill you to get out of the office and see what's really going on?
