Houston, TX

Former Employee – worked at Lakeside Country Club

ProsGreat scenic beauty outdoors and feeling of awe when viewing the elegance of the desiigner interior.. The employees within each department get along well. Free meals and laundered uniforms are provided.

ConsThis place is one of the last to embrace diversity in its membership and management. Diversity amongst Employees is dealt by grouping certain people by job types. Some generally work in the locker rooms, washing golf carts or picking up golf balls. Others take care of landscaping, food service and housekeeping. If make it here there is no where to grow professionally or prosper with raises for most.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate an environment of true diversity. Improve communication between employees, management and departments. Build a workplace where employees have promotion, opportunities and a future. Rethink the high turnover rate and tendency to believe there is always someone out there that needs a job instead of dealing fairly with the current employees.

Houston, TX

Current Employee – been working at Lakeside Country Club

ProsNice working environment.
Friendly members.
Friendly co-workers
I obtained some experience in my field.
Minimal supervision.
Its a beautiful country club.

ConsNo incentive to stay.
Really high turn over rate.
No room for growth or promotion.
Deception within job description.
No appreciation for hard work.
Very boring, no challenges.

Advice to Senior ManagementI would encourage more team work among employees, and everyone seemed to be out for themselves. I also believe employees should be given incentive to work there. It makes workers work harder, and strive for their best.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
