Pros
Great company culture including mutual respect and cooperative between groups
Cons
Demanding work environment and heavy workload
Pros
Decent salary, excellent benefits, nominal growth potential. Requesting time off is very easy, and the people are very smart.
Cons
Management is a bit top heavy and promotions are almost only time-based, less merit. At times work can get out of control and time in the clean-room is limited causing even more frustration.
Advice to Senior Management
Please reconsider massive layoffs, I witnessed far too many of my friends leave and lose their jobs here.
Pros
Very collaborative team work oriented environment, really nice people across senior management down to factory floor, many possibilities for career advancement.
Cons
Very technically oriented environment, learning curve steep, fast paced business cycles, depending on work, could get repetitive, and engineering oriented.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you are doing, upgrade business IT equipment, new more fringe benefits for Livermore, don't cut costs where it hurts the performance of workers.
Pros
Its a good place to work if you like to do process engineering jobs, because you will get tons of it. the company is immigration friendly (useful tip for people on visa). Profit sharing practices are very transparent and good. benefit packages are good.
Cons
The atmosphere is highly political and promotion system is not fair.
Middle management is not competent and does a very lousy job of executing and transferring objectives from top management. Too much nepotism.
Work pressure is at times unreasonable.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep an eye on your middle management !
Pros
The people work together to make the company successful. Great products and very good internal communication at headquarters. Employees treated fairly and have a lot of pride in their work. Also very competent employee that are recognized when successful.
Cons
Sometimes very stressful work environment. The customers are very demanding. Specific Field Offices are sometimes difficult to communicate with and achieve goals. The Field Offices sometimes have a difficult time understanding the customer's needs leading to overall inefficiences.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue leading the company to strive for excellence. Focus our efforts to improve our customer satisfaction by accurately understanding their needs and providing solutions to their problems. Provide realistic expectations to the customers after careful analysis and then meet or exceed those expectations.
