    Pros

You get to know deeply how the airline business works. It is a good opportunity for learning, improving analytical and decision making skills. I won't say it is easy, for doing an outstanding job you better study at home. I recommend to dedicate extra time studying the first weeks, and as in many places, take advantage of your first months for asking EVERYTHING because then, everything is put in practice and nobody will see you as the new with the card of beginners questions. This is basically because in this role there is a lot of responsibility and you better plant confidence in your colleagues the sooner. It's a challenging area in a young competitive environment.

    Cons

Even though there are training programs, self studying is required, and if you are new in the airlines business, with more reasons. Revenue management has a lot of theory behind so you may do your own researches. This is not a contra for me at all, but just want to aware. Be pro-active, nobody will come to help unless you ask for help.

    Advice to Management

Study, dedicate time to learn fast, manage well your time and try to give your best for understanding everything your told.

    Pros

Amazing corporate culture. Friendly co-workers all around the company. It is important to notice that for a few years now, LAN has been trying to elevate its performance and deliver a world-class service. They've been very focus on ground and inflight operations so hopefully we will see them in the top10 airlines in the world very soon.

    Cons

A lot of customers have very strong opinions about LAN. Sometimes to is hard to contain such angry and disruptive customers. It is understandable, but it can go wrong really fast. It is very difficult to make them understand that sometimes problemas (delayed, cancelations) happen not because of the airline, but external factors (weather, airports restrictions, etc).

    Advice to Management

It is important to manage confidential information as good as possible. A lot of times you can hear about job promotions or salary raises without an official statement from the Human Resources department.

People is friendly and kind. You can always reach your Supervisor and have a word with them.
Good benefits and salary. Roster for long haul is very good, for short haul is like everywhere else.

    Cons

Growth is limited by Chile's location and population.
Lack of clear information about career progression and company.
No real long term plans, many times seems to be a reactive company.
Every department work independently regardless of the consequences that could have on a different department.

    Transparency on internal communications.
    Coordinate actions between different departments.

    Pros

    A lot of overtime,

    Cons

not opportunity to growth, the leads, supervisors and management create this atmosphere of terror in the environment where people is scare of saying anything because if you say something they will be bad at you. They ask for too much but the salary is not good.

    Advice to Management

This is for management at JFK Airport :Change, be a normal person who values people for who they are, do not get mad at people who make mistakes at work, if you are going to give an opportunity to someone be a real person and professional.
