I have been working at Landry's

    Pros

Great movement within the company. Can transfer with little to no problems.

    Cons

Management seems disjointed with their employees and with each other. Really high hourly employee turn over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on building employees through strong teamwork and by leading by example. There are times when this happens but more often than not it seems to fall short, very short.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Landry's full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Company is very large and diversified in the Hospitality industry with locations all over the US and internationally. The brands range from Hotels and Restaurants both high end to eat-ertainment.

    Cons

The company is very concerned with bottom line management. Where numbers and goals are most important as opposed to going above and beyond for guest satisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to advance you need to make this job your life and can go far, but growing with the company can be difficult based on the actual positions available in upper management.

I have been working at Landry's

    Pros

Decent financial compensation but wasnt worth the emotional brutality going on at my restaurant.

    Cons

They shove culture down your throat and its all crap. None of the upper management follows it. Only care about money and the outward appearance. Dont care about working conditions or food/ service quality.

    Pros

The company is constantly growing. The people are great to work with and they make the everyday working environment enjoyable.

    Cons

There are not a lot of cons. The only things they should look at is the benefits package. It is average for such a large company.
