I have been working at Lanier Parking full-time

    Pros

I feel like there is a lot of room for growth in the company. I also feel that senior management actually cares.

    Cons

Sometimes it seems like it's more about who you know. Insurance is expensive.

    Pros

Hours were flexible. pay was reasonable starts at $10 per hour. most of the managers were cool

    Pros

Many great managers, some paid travel, fun loving employees, good work is recognized and acknowledged, able to travel to different locations around the country, many part time and seasonal work shifts avaliable

    Cons

Upper management can be out of touch with the basic work of an entry level employee, have to have great patience and self control, travel can be far without compensation

I have been working at Lanier Parking part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Schedule flexibility, average pay per hour, fun job, get to work outside, drive really cool cars. Management rewards their employees for honest, hard work. The Plaza is an exciting place to work. We DO get to count our tips and know exactly what we make each night. Which is a fairly recent ( within the past 8 months) development. Management listened.

    Cons

Dealing with the traffic and horse carriages. Weather can be extreme, either extremely hot or extremely cold.

I have been working at Lanier Parking full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Don't have to pay for parking.

The HR and training department are very helpful and are always willing to go out of their way for you.

    Cons

Underpaid considering you are on call twenty-four/seven.
Everyone has to play political games or you will not get ahead. Everyone in upper management has received their job because of who they know regardless of what they are capable of.

I worked at Lanier Parking as a contractor

    Pros

Great job during high school. The hours were flexible and the starting pay for the time was really good considering the job. Assuredly you will be exposed to lots of different people in lots of settings.

    Cons

Management either loved their job or hated it. Some you could really feel they were passionate about the job and others felt threatened. Summers standing on asphalt weren't fun at the time either, but are good in memory.

I have been working at Lanier Parking part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Somewhat flexible with hours for students.

    Cons

Sketchy management. Unable to count your own tips before it is all pooled together and management does cash room where they distribute everyone's tips on their paycheck. There is a lot of trust in management to give appropriate amount of tips per person but management is not filled with trustworthy people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a close eye on management. Unannounced audits could help.
