Pros
Tip money out the wazzo
Cons
Managers at location were shady and acted like shaving tips off
Advice to Senior Management
find out better structure in valet sites
Pros
The checks cleared and there was plenty of work.
Cons
Overworeked and under paid or compensated
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your frontline employees better and pay them better.
Pros
Hourly rate higher than most valet companies
Accrue paid vacation time after 1 year
Free parking at any Lanier garage
Cons
Very few valet accounts (mostly a garage management company) and the valet locations they manage are generally bad for valets (tips suck etc). There are 1-2 exceptions.
Advice to Senior Management
Bullying mentality toward all valets comes from the top and makes its way down the management food chain. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Spend more time praising valets and communicating in general. Every bulletin/memo valets receive is some sort of threat/complaint. Also, nepotism runs rampant in this company at all levels, which further drags on employee morale.
Pros
A reason to work at Lanier is because it's a easy job.
Cons
Bad management can be a downside to working at Lanier.
Advice to Senior Management
Need better training and managers
