I worked at Lantheus Medical Imaging full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Management is Very flexible and offer and good balance between your personal and professional life. Great Benefits: 3 weeks vacation and 4 floating holidays. It is a great place to learn from the senior employees of the company (25, 30, 35 years). A lot of challenges and opportunities to shine if you want to take the effort. New CEO since 2013 has helped the company to get back on track in financial terms speaking. Great recognition system using value awards to recosnize performance.

    Cons

The financial health of the company for the last 4 years has not been good. 2013 started to change and the future looks better. Because of the long tenure of senior employees it is hard or takes too much effort to create changes in existing processes. Lack of connection (in some cases) between employees and senior management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great Values... Mangement should pay more atention and folow up on employee satisfaction.

    Pros

Lots of good people, interesting manufacturing process, on-site gym, right off highway. Great benefits.

    Cons

Over the past few years, the company has laid off many experienced and knowledgeable people, replacing them with people who have limited experience in the current processes or radiopharmaceuticals in general. They've gutted R&D, leaving little to no pipeline or future. The site is out-of-date and the holding company in charge is just looking to sell at some point; most people wonder when the ship will finally sink.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES.

The time spent there was painful. Compensation was reduced, very little work/life balance, and no apparent leadership.

I worked at Lantheus Medical Imaging full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Started very positive with Flupiridaz going to P3 clinicals and then downhill from there.

    Cons

No apparent corporate strategy and values. They were words that had no meaning in practice at the exec level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

May be an upside with J Bailey there - just practice what you preach.

I have been working at Lantheus Medical Imaging

    Pros

They have a niche in the radio pharmaceutical industry. They had to cut back drastically due to competition. Barely surviving.

    Cons

They are always on the lookout for low cadre temporary employees. They hire consultants as temp employees and get rid of them the moment the portion of work is done. Most employees have been only there 2-3 years and get paid the lowest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have trust in employees. Don't overwork them.

Big improvement with new CEO and CCO in last year

I have been working at Lantheus Medical Imaging full-time

    Pros

Culture is collegial, politics are minimal, small-company feel gives anyone who wants to seize opportunities in any department a chance to make his or her own way. Flat culture, executives roll up their sleeves (I hear our CEO even puts together his own power points sometimes-- big difference from the last CEO), people are in it together. Company has a strong focus on patients and again with new CEO we've been able to talk about patients more than financials. Seems a much looser (in a good way) environment than before-- if something makes sense to do you are asked to go for it. Very fair comp considering size and previous challenges (fully restored late 2012), benefits comparable to other companies. Definitely feeling healthier as an organization.

    Cons

Some current VPs may not be up for growing with the company-- they are all very competent and set a great tone for the organization, but a couple of them struggle with establishing and then empowering to or sticking with the plan to execute on strategy. The executives who demonstrate solid leadership styles don't seem to have a chance to step it up as much as they could and perhaps want to. Private Equity feel gives the sense that we can't move the way we would like, though that might just be because of the poor position the former CEO put the company in. Small company, not a lot of room for upward career growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep your current focus on revising and departing from previous CEO legacy. Keep supporting tenured 10/20/30+ year vets who get it and strive for growth and change-- we are out there as you know and we are not bitter by change-- it invigorates us against the same'ol same'ol. Keep hiring those who are smart and fit into our strong culture. Give us a better sense of what the future might hold.

    Pros

Good benefits, Supportive coworkers, Nice conditions

    Cons

Coworkers who sometimes do not appreciate what they have. Can be a clique-y environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would be wonderful if communication between departments could be strengthened. Additional training opportunities for managers in leadership would be helpful.

    Pros

Wonderful Team, Great people to work with, great product

    Cons

    Company doesn't care about you

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn all aspects of your company. If you are runing a clinical trial - learn what a clinical trial entails - don't just worry about the marketing aspect and product sales. The future of the company depends on how well you run the trials to get a new product approved by the FDA.

I worked at Lantheus Medical Imaging

    Pros

pay is good, coworkers are nice, beautiful campus, nice, central location. people there are proud to have worked during the better days when Dupont and Bristol Myers Squibb owned them.

    Cons

all about making money for private equity firm
employees live in fear of being laid off
those left are stretched too thin
antiquated policies...no work from home, flex, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

people want to be a part of something bigger than themselves; your pitches about EBIDTA fall short; focus more on the impact that your products make on people
