    ProsIf you have no aspiration you can indulge in spoiling yourself by gossiping, roaming in the offices.
    If u want a job in metro cities its good and preferable to get settled here.

    ConsFavourism is all they (management) know.Job culture is very poor. We do design only in names but in actual practice the job is basically a job of a Middle man. No scope of improvement. Middle and senior management are not at all very keen to learn any any thing no they want to educate the entry level engineers. Monotonus job, no variety, if you have started doing one particular job you will be doing the same job irrespective of project after 3,4,5,6,,7 years like me. The management is strongly believes in retention policies.Compensation is good only for people who flatter the bosses a lot, and show off that they r doing the precise and large volume of job (apparently).
    For an ambitious student of engineering none should join this company, at least in MMH IC.

    Advice to Senior ManagementI advise the management that you people learn first of all.Only mailing will not prove you a good engineer/manager. If you dont bother to learn then please arrange proper training program for entry level engineers rather than increasing the manpower.

    Great Technically but for HR and compensation policies

    ConsExploiting HR policies, to many internal groups busy in blame game and politics, Favouritism for only selected 'YES SIR' employees, Unfair annual assessments, No increase in pay packet w.r.t inflation and industry standards, No reviews of its HR policies, very Rigid

    Advice to Senior ManagementWhen CTC and profit shares of top management can be manipulated and increased, why not all others on whoes strength the company's profit margins are maintained. Please look after your subordinates also

    Good place to learn for a span of 2-3 years and not more than that.Career growth will be stunted except for a few units.

    Prosvery open. inter departmental activities are open to all. Scope for learning. Can enjoy freedom

    ConsAll are bosses here. lots of politics and cunning behaviour reqd to move up in the ladder. POOR COMPENSATION & utter waste HR.

    Advice to Senior ManagementThough the scope for learning is of an advantage here, there's nothing from the upper management/ HR to groom the young crest graduates. If at all, Atleast 10% of what is shown in the Company presentations had been implemented, The scenario would have been much different.

    ProsL&T Being an old company's internal functional systems are in line, Executes varied and different types of Projects, Co leagues or staffs are friendly to an extent.

    ConsSleeping Management, Since there is no single man ownership so Staffs from Managerial position onward thinks that they own the company, TAMILS' KINGDOM(will be explained in the review), Project execution and planning is very bad, treatment by top people to subordinate needs to improve.

    Advice to Senior Management'Larsen and Toubro' has got great brand value and thanks to its number of ventures like in switchgears, heavy industries, oil and gas ventures etc. But ECC is being handled in a horrible way at overseas specially in gulf.

    Big company indeed, but to say it is good is questionable

    Pros1. Exposure to diverse activities
    2. Experience on human behaviour
    3. Systematic documentation

    Cons1. Long working hours... work even on Sundays
    2. Salary is less compared to the work extraction from the employee
    3. Uneven delegation of responsibilities among the members of the same team
    4. No support & guidance from managers... if the company goes down then it is because of some worst, nonsense & inefficient managers who are burdens to the company
    4. Employees of good academics & talent are misutilized & underutilized...i.e they are made fools

    Advice to Senior Management1. Upgrade salary
    2. Give proper value to engineers & use them like engineers....you people ignore that engineers are used like supervisors & clerks... that's why young energetic engineers leave within few months & years..
    3. Create a transparent monitoring system for employee performance evaluation

    it's a fraud company

    , brand name only, job security but one will leave because of bad management

    ConsFirst it shows a dream of career in heavy engineering, power,hydrocarbon, ship building etc but place you in pipeline laying project of water supply under Construction. Which is contradictory to the mentioned sectors. And also construction division recruitment is different from this.They even don't ask for preference of interest.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPlease respect the talent you recruit. By such things you are wasting your money & time and also talent.Now new joinees specially GETs are having less faith in l & t. You will observe results of this in near future.
