I worked at Laserwords full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I can't really think of any. The air conditioning is good.

    Cons

You have to chase people down to beg them to do their work. there's very little to no accountability and senior management present one face to you (the employers/teams) and another to their bosses. There's no trickle down of ideas or thoughts, no openness to new ideas and I was criticised for doing my job. I was a project manager who did a damn good job and I was shifted to another department without any notice, not given any work to do and was forced to sit around twiddling my thumbs for a couple of months after which I resigned. It's bizarre that they would shift me like that without any rhyme or reason but later it came about that I was a threat to older project managers in the team who hadn't enjoyed the same amount of success as me. Basically I was a driven professional who was driven out of the team that I loved and forced to stop the work I loved doing because of stupid internal politics and bickering that all came as a shock to me when I found out about it much later. I used to stay until odd hours, come to work on weekends and went above and beyond, and it was all for nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't transfer people without their consent, don't listen to the internal bickering, don't take one person's view of things and if someone's unhappy with their transfer find out why. Genuinely look at the performance of someone and decide for yourself whether they deserve to be punished or not by taking away the job that they love and that they do so well. Reward hard work, reward people when they get recognised by your external vendors and publishers whom they work with and make people feel like they are valued because at the time I left you were doing it all wrong.
