    Pros

From the top down I've been very impressed with how LeadDog cares about their employees. Whether event staff or full time, they seem to put people first, which can be rare and a huge bonus when working for an organization!

    Cons

    I haven't witnessed any cons.

Nothing bad, just better pay, more vacation days and maybe more privacy miss the dogs. The dogs was the best part

    Pros

Lots of young, personable people on most teams. Company has a great set of values and usually bids on business for the right reasons.

    Cons

Team is spread too thin among far too many projects. Doesn't specialize at any one thing. Jack of all trades, master of none. Lots of a random acquisitions that don't make sense in the scheme of the company -- end up eating up time and resources that the company doesn't have.

    Advice to Management

Pick one or two things and get really good at them. Pay more attention to the digital space. Needs better organization.

  6. One of the best companies I have ever worked with

    Pros

They say that great leadership happens at the top and trickles down and Leaddog Marketing Group is a wonderful example of this in action. As a contract Market Manager and National Tour Manager I have always felt like one of the "pack", well supported and trusted to do my job with little to no micro management. Yet at the same time feeling a sense of partnership from the various managers and executives that I have worked with.

    Cons

This company does big projects and as such the hours can be long, but if you like to create experiences that leave an impression out of an idea and some hard work, you would be hard pressed to find a company that is better to work with.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. It's always nice to see JG and Dan and the senior staff on site with us, showing us thru their actions that they are as committed as everyone to the companies and projects that we are representing.

  7. Fun and young company that allows you to gain A LOT of great experience but needs to learn how to grow with company

I have been working at LeadDog Marketing Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People are great to work with, creative and overall young staff, casual and comfortable work environment (with dogs!), nice new office, fun activities and team building events, A LOT of work and event experience in a short amount of time, get your hands dirty and learn a lot, take on a lot of responsibility and roles and learn a lot, work with a lot of different and large clients, able to work in different industries i.e. via clients, programs, types of events, etc.

    Cons

Long hours and weekends and very exhausting and easy to get lost in work; Lower level staff take on a lot of work and responsibility, however, they rarely get credit or praise for it; Compensation is very poor and low and it's hard to cover costs of living in NYC/tri-state area; Don't always feel respected or appreciated for work

    Advice to Management

Senior Management is very disorganized and needs to get their priorities in order; Tell you what you want to hear and try to get a way with the bare minimum; have to "honk your own horn" and stick up for yourself and your work and ASK for what you want (raises, promotions, etc.); Recognize people who are hardworking and loyal to the company and reward them and motivate them to stay and keep working harder; Focus seems to be more on money rather than the people as the preach

    Pros

    Cons

Increase focus on sustainable business practices

    Pros

Crash course in event marketing. Can learn a lot in a short amount of time. Young, creative and talented staff!

    Cons

Extremely poor, emotionally driven management. Very little planning or organization or structure. Be prepared to be lowballed on your salary and threatened when asked for fair compensation for ALL the work and LONG hours that you put in. Don't waste your time or energy here.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves (with the exception of one or two) and hire people who genuinely care

  10. Over promise, Under Deliver

    Pros

Great bunch of people to work with.

    Cons

From the top down, from the client to the additionally hired staff the motto should be "Over promise, Under Deliver"! Dreams are great but expectations are rarely met and promises are not kept. Stay time and demands are told to be one thing upon hire and something completely different once you start working there.

    Advice to Management

Just be honest: to your staff and clients. Example: It is going to take more time then estimated, its going to cost more and the hours are going to much longer. Don't undercut just to win the bid and the staffer. Maybe try under-promising and over-delivering? You may retain more clients and staff.

    Pros

People are nice. The office is also nice.

    Cons

The company takes on projects that are built to fail. People complain about it non-stop, but management doesn't care as long as they are getting paid. For a compnay this size they are highly dis-organized and still run like a start up.

    Advice to Management

Take on better clients. Put people in a position to succeed. Be realistic.
