Creative and Exploding growth but not well managed

Prefer Not to Say (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

Proscreative, great people, dedicated to their pursuits to help brands become better know. Beautiful new offices and very positive energy at the company.

Consno clear reporting lines for lower level and junior staff. Very unclear directions. Not much focus on employee development. Trying to maintain its small company feel but it is not too big to do that without implementing some structure

Advice to Senior ManagementImplement better resource management systems and transparency to all staff. Have staff "own" their responsibilities. More clear reporting lines so that staff knows to whom they are accountable. Lack of accountability leads to wasted resources, duplication of efforts, confusion, frustration and reduced profits.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Fast-paced environment full of talent and big egos where management style hasn't kept up with the growth.

    Graphic Designer (Former Employee)

ProsEntrepreneurial spirit is valued and the client mix is pretty good for being in marketing.

ConsYou'll fly by the seat of your pants and it's a crappes shoot whether your manager has the time of day for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe tough on middle and senior management to make sure employees have clear understanding of expectations and can get face time with their managers. When senior staff are overextended, entry level employees bear the weight of project management but get none of the credit for doing so. If they step up and make timely decisions, they're resented by their superiors. If they don't the project suffers and/or they end up working unreasonable hours. Ultimately, it's the CEO's flighty, anxious style that trickles down through the company.

Be very cautious; good experience but extremely long and tedious hours with zero pay and a slim hope to be a full-time

    Account Management Intern (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

Prosgood experience for resume; worked with multiple accounts in a fast paced environment.

Consvery long hours with very little respect from other employees. they keep you in the dark about possible full-time employment. I interned with 6 other people, none of which were hired full-time; some either quit, rejected their offer, or were let go; interns were treated like slaves

Advice to Senior Managementmake it a more enjoyable work environment; treat the interns like people, not like dogs (no pun intended)

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Interesting experience at a growing and developing company.

    Intern (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThe people are very excited about the work that they are doing. Each employee strives to deliver the best possible results to the clients and will work hard to do so while still enjoying a creative and fun environment.

ConsThe changes that come with a growing company mean contrasting views on the future roles of individuals and programs as a whole. There are some areas of miscommunication between departments.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should strive to create better relationships between the departments and be more transparent about their strategic decisions.

ProsHig energy, great for career pathing.

ConsTime commitment is more strenuous than any other place I have worked. There is little balance.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease make sure you set employee expectations correctly to retain those quality people. Myself excluded.

    Not a good place

Inside Lead Gen Representative (Former Employee)
    Austin, TX

ProsPeople are great and the work IS challenging.

ConsPoor and dishonest management, unrealistic campaigns, and the prevailing view is that people are expendable. When you are asking people to achieve a challenging task, you need to build them up rather than minimizing them. A lot of talent was underutilized or misused.

Advice to Senior ManagementI've heard things have trended upwards recently and some of the weak links in managemnt have been replaced. So....kudos.
