I worked at Learning Leaders
Pros – Opportunity to be out of the office for meetings, school visits
Networking with people all across NYC
Cons – Lack of growth, lack of quality staff development, Senior management not understanding the constituents they serve.
Advice to Senior Management – Cultivate leaders and compensate them fairly. Create a real mid-level management team instead of having almost exclusive executive management. Create a culture of trust at work. Employ people that are qualified to do the job and trust them when they deliver. If they don't deliver then have a mechanism in place to either train the person on what they are falling short on or get rid of them. Far too often I was never asked for input or approached and asked "how can we make Learning Leaders better?"
