I have been working at Lebara full-time for more than a year

Pros1) Entrepreneurial - still a start-up led by founders looking to expand the business
2) Opportunities to grow as Lebara goes into different areas
3) Very international staff

Cons1)Sometime chaotic - could do better in
2) Strong board with hands-on in the business rather than in long term strategy

Friendly environment

I have been working at Lebara part-time for less than a year

ProsGreat colleagues; great work environment; job itself is not complicated or hard to understand; flexible shifts.

ConsQuite low pay for a City located company; weekend working hours; scheduled breaks.

Advice to Senior ManagementJust 2 GBP more to add to the salary and it would be the perfect job.

Great environment with good people

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Lebara full-time for less than a year

ProsThere is a real community spirit with this company, very diverse. Lots of focus on employee well being and moral.

Salary was market rate and benefits were decent.

ConsVery much a 'just-in-time' mind set, lack of planning, scheduling and project management.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to channel some energies implementing workflows and work on some structured training for prospective candidates.

A very poor move for any I.T. professional.

I T (Current Employee)
London, England (UK)

I have been working at Lebara full-time for less than a year

ProsReasonable basic salary
Customer service agents are fun, lively and very patient people!

ConsVery poor IT systems with EXTREMELY low standards of work and very little communication across teams.
Databases badly designed with very little foresight
Majority of IT staff do not take ownership of issues which are passed around, and the root causes rarely addressed.
Primary language in the office is Hindi. The few English-speaking staff in the office feel alienated and told to get used to it by managers and HR.
Managers argue and bicker openly in the office.
Very high staff turnover.
Bullying and rudeness are rife.

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove your standards, sack the lazy and if you're going to talk the talk then learn to walk the walk.

Horrible!

CSA (Current Employee)
London, England (UK)

I have been working at Lebara part-time for less than a year

ProsGood office location. Nice building!
Some nice colleagues.
Very cosmopolitan.

ConsPoor rates of pay.
Only employ for 20 hours per week, meaning you have to scrabble for overtime.
Horrible management, Only 1 person in HR and TL are approachable.
Nasty atmosphere. Bullying and intimidation commonplace.

Advice to Senior ManagementDitch all the cosmetic, superficial "smile culture." It is utterly fake and not something you believe in!

Customer service agent for 6 months Unsociable working hours, bullying tolerated, favoritism widely used

Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee)
London, England (UK)

I worked at Lebara full-time for less than a year

ProsSemi flexible in shift swapping, good location, clean tidy modern office, Nice customer service colleges

ConsAwful management except one who is nice. favoritism is widely used and people are employed only because they are in with management, to much internal hiring and only to the people that management like, No career progression. back to back call taking non stop, no incentives, Bullying tactics used, agents are fired unfairly and in a non legal way. I don't think the ceo realizes how his business is run.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop using favoritism and treat everyone in a fair way. Take a day on the phones and see how hard the job is. Offer more incentives, stop changing things all the time. This company loose lots of staff because people want to be treated better. Unfair practice is the worst thing a company can use.
