    Pros

    Travelling down to meetings in Leeds & Newcastle was a nice break from the constant sales, sales, sales pressure.

    Cons

    Manager was extremely two faced and often belittled colleagues. I raised this with HR and nothing was done as he often charmed (sucked up) them when visiting Leeds. At my exit interview I raised the fact that the manager was informing other members of staff of their colleagues private business which had been discussed in confidence with the manager - or so we were led to believe! I was advised this would be investigated but when speaking to former colleagues I was advised that nothing had been done.

    Advice to Management

    Actually listen to your staff's coments at exit interviews - there is a reason this particular branch in Scotland has a very, very high turn over of staff.

    Pros

    The best thing about working for the company is the people! I've been here for just over 6 months and have really enjoyed meeting all the people here. There is a good attitude among eveyryone in the business about work-life balance. It feels like the company cares about its people.

    Cons

    There is no flexi-time policy which would be a welcome addition to the other benefits.

    Advice to Management

    Keep listening to colleagues and making the Society a better place to work.

    Pros

    The company has a big ladder to climb. If you work hard, it gets noticed.

    Cons

    Often some confusion in where to send queries. Does it go to FCT, or does it go to QAT?

    Advice to Management

    Improve the internal knowledge of which department deals with which issue. Some customers have to wait weeks for a response to queries, which then becomes a complaint, simply because people don't know where to send things.

    you never feel like just a number, they care about their staff.

    working hours were long and late plus travel

    The people who work there are generally very nice and friendly

    Understaffed, lack of ability to make any decisions without 4 levels of sign off

    Pros

    Good bunch of people; provides both B2C and B2B experience; inhouse design resource is good for quick turn around of materials.

    Cons

    Exec tend to be stuck in ways and not open to new ideas - 'they know best' - regardless of what evidence or experience shows. No appetite for marketing innovation or investment in software and tools.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to you staff more and stop thinking you are the best.
