    Cons

None what so ever, that I found.

    Pros

Good wage, great location, some lovely colleagues, fantastic places to eat on campus.

    Cons

Horrible culture, bad practice sees no consequence and all are resigned to knowing nothing will improve
    No communication
    Bullying is prevalent
    Very low morale
No one willing to speak up and any who do are subject to mobbing
Not all departments have flexible working

    Advice to Management

Bring in new people so their enthusiasm will counter the mainstream indifference and don't allow staff to stagnate in their roles for years only to become apathetic, give them opportunities and praise where due. Listening to staff is great but taking action based on what they tell you is better.

    Pros

Great staff to work with, central location, decent pay.

    Cons

Poor communication, with changes steamrollered in from the top and staff expected to make it all work. A lot of (male) Yes Men recently promoted as workshop managers over better female competition (I'm male), Worst of all, recently even the slightest criticism by staff has been met with punishment by industrial tribunal, with threats of sackings if the staff talk to students about problems. It was a great place to work 2 years ago, but now it's beginning to resemble North Korea.

    Advice to Management

Communication with staff can be terrible, and there is a growing sense of unease about job security. Management need to actually listen to staff when there is a problem, instead of mouthing platitudes and then wondering why it all went wrong when everyone told them it would happen.

  6. Good place to work, but slow moving...
