    Pros

    Good Building and Facilities
On lower levels good people to work with

    Cons

Lots of change in senior management - not clear strategy visible - company too bureaucratic and too slow to react to change. Loosing DB assets cannot gain enough DC assets

    Advice to Management

Didnt like the place and left ASAP

    Pros

    Great company to work for.
Relatively relaxed atmosphere and mostly friendly colleagues
Good opportunities for moves between departments
    Stable job

    Cons

UK centric so limited opportunities to move abroad although the US department is growing rapidly now (Chicago office).
Although one of the biggest Asset Managers in the UK not many people now the company

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work
Inject the business with young and dynamic leaders
Start being a driver of the market rather than a follower (it is something you have been doing recently and I think it's great)

Generally LGIM is a good company and environment to work in, office based close to Moorgate tube in London.

    Pros

Perks, benefits: The people are friendly and the place has a big family atmosphere. Modern air conditioned office that has a large decent ground floor canteen area, and shower changing facilities useful for cyclists and joggers. Each floor has decent kitchen facilities - free tea, coffee and filtered water and big fridges. Good travel links - next to Moorgate tube.
Leadership has changed over recent years, not all for the better unfortunately IMHO.

    Cons

There has been a lot of change in recent years, with a gradual replacement of senior and middle managers. With many of the long term senior LGIM people retiring or being pushed out, and replaced mainly by former BGI senior people.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately too much change happened too quickly in recent years and good people/systems not recognised or appreciated. This has had a big negative effect on the morale of the people still there. Management need to work hard a rebuilding the morale and trust of their people.

    Pros

You will come across very smart people from whom you can learn.

    Cons

The company is full of politics, you will never know what the management really think of you. No infrastructure at all, everything is done in the least efficient way. Benefits way below City average with not even days of holiday matching average 25 per year.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in infrastructure and yourself.

    Pros

Great People (in the lower ranks), fairly easy-going work environment - this is no 7 to 7 Hedge Fund ...

    Cons

Nearly all the senior management have change in the last couple of years, mainly due to retirement. Every new manager has his or her own 'new broom' to swing, and that's annoying a LOT of the people who've been there a while ...
