    Pros

Free goodies like sodas and snacks and free lunch for end month close if you work in Accounting.

    Cons

Personal / sick time is up to you manager so it could be really good or not good at all.

    Advice to Management

Pay is good but life balance is important and to establish a good personal/ sick time policy should be a priority.

    Pros

Good working environment...several non-denominational perks for its employees

    Cons

Do to high influence from its parent company in Germany, atmosphere takes a hit

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, ensure management shares information.

    Pros

-Many employees dedicated to the business who have considerable experience, "life-timers"
    -Always hiring

    Cons

-Revolving door with sole focus on cost cutting, poor benefits and compensation, lack of opportunities to advance due to constant headcount reductions
    -Lots of followers
-Company does not value younger generations (succession plan is smoke n' mirrors)

    Pros

Was hired as a mechanic/welder. Never was given the chance to do the job. Agreed on a pay rate and was not given that either.

    Cons

management is very disrespectful. The workers are great that u have to work with but working under management is the worst.

    Advice to Management

    respect your employee

    Pros

Co-workers are great, card holders very special people

    Cons

Supervisory Management in the Disbursement Team is not professional, uncompassionate and not consistent in instructions.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, the company sponsored review filled out by employees is deceiving. You are loosing a lot of good well trained, knowledgeable people. Walk around and look at how department is being run.

    Pros

Salary is competitive, offices are nice, decent benefits, work/life balance is okay

    Cons

Lots of cut throat competition, frequent reorgs each time CFO rotates and has new strategy

    Advice to Management

    Improve communication with all levels

  8. Do your research

    Pros

Wonderful employees. Challenging work. Very good training.

    Cons

A challenge to work for a very negative manager who has created a very dysfunctional working place by putting down employees. Very stressful work environment. Not conducive to wellness

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on your individual plant management. Policy and procedures are not equally used. A manager can fail to observe a procedure or policy and will not be reprimanded by upper management. A unit worker on the other hand will be disciplined. It depends who you are.

    Pros

Like every job, it depends on what part of the organization you are in, but Lehigh in general is pretty average for the industry, with some portions much better, and very few worse.

    Cons

Restructures itself a lot, with acquisitions in the late 2000's. Too much dependence on reports and checklists, and not enough eyes/feet in the field to verify. Corporate is a bit detached, luckily many of the groups are good at independence, and work despite Corporate's issues.

    Advice to Management

Get out into your plants, and stop relying on what some report or email is telling you is happening. And, not just a silly "plant tour" guided by the area manager. Veer off, go left when they go right, and peek behind doors. You need to see the field and talk to the people, not just go out on a parade route.

    Pros

    Amazing IT management Team
    Amazing Technical Leads
    Fun co-workers
    Great place to learn
    Weekly Pay
    Outside Events
    Understands need for upgrades

    Cons

    Benefits could be much better
Pay is too low for what is expected
KB needs a LOT of work
    No Structure to training

    Advice to Management

You are doing a great job leading the company, but spend more money on benefits packages and pay. This way you keep more people.

    Pros

It has a great benefits package and the people are great to work for. They are family orientated and consider their employees their best asset.

    Cons

They have to report to management in the home office way to much, just to get approvals to purchase trivial items regularily needed for job function

    Advice to Management

Try to keep memo's and useless meeting to a minimum. All they tend to do is prevent employees from doing their jobs.
