    Pros

    -Great product line
    -High technology; satisfying challenges
    -Small teams
    -Efforts directly affect company growth
    -Focused, driven place to work
-Some of the most professional personnel I ever met

    Cons

    -Unrealistic goals with little support
-Very little growth potential due to on par competition; low profits.
-The type of place where you care more about the business than Management
-Danaher influence has eroded company confidence(layoffs, restructures that got rid of top quality people-Think of the consultants in Office Space).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not much bc the string puller controls most things.

    Neutral Outlook

booth culture, constrictive policies and profit of future performance

    Pros

The Customer Service team is the best I have worked with in my career. Loyal, dedicated, compassionate, hard working and customer focused. They do what it takes to service the customer and meet sales targets.

    Cons

Must be an A or B player to be successful. Business changes too rapidly with little or no planning or communication. Fast paced environment with outdated business systems.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    Great products
    Good coworkers
Some departments/teams are better than others

    Cons

Non existent training and blame culture - if you don't know, it MUST be YOUR FAULT
Terrible (truly horrible) management - I've had 3 managers in 3 years, each with a different level of dysfunction/ineffectualness
Revolving door - every month more people leave or are fired, constant anxiety about job and company stability
No upward mobility - whoever wrote that there are opportunities within the company is either lying or working for a different organization
Everything from the finance department to the iCRM programs are disorganized and ineffective. The amount of red tape, approvals and paperwork (most of it hidden or word of mouth or ignored) to accomplish goals is surreal

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Apologize to the employees for your poor leadership and leave

    Pros

Many great co-workers. Extremely dedicated people with a true passion for the Life Science Research products and customers. Constantly moving forward with many opportunities to learn. Good benefits. great pay and excellent 401k with Danaher Corporation as the parent company.

    Cons

Surprise turnovers, many times some of the individuals I felt contributed greatly to the companies success were let go. Some mangers given too much power without the people skills to support the position. High stress levels and very demanding work loads.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Well, I saw two presidents leave in a little over five years. I would say to be more open to the employees suggestions and concerns.

Current Employee - Sales Account Executive in Nashville, TN

    Pros

Good earning potential if you are fortunate enough to have a territory with many loyal Leica customers. Otherwise, good luck selling instrumentation at a premium price point that is producing the same results as your instrument.

    Cons

From the horrific training where all they seem to focus on is a brief overview of the product lines and then role play after role play followed up by hours of Microsoft Power Point training. The daily skills and methods for finding answers to questions and producing quotes were brushed by the way side. Not to mention, the CRM used is home grown, out of date and unable to perform the needed tasks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to show sales growth by cutting positions and not building instruments until they are sold. Be responsive to the market. You are getting your tail kicked by everyone. There must be a reason....or many reasons.
