Former Employee – worked at Lend Lease full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Many companies talk about their values and ethics. The senior management at Lend Lease is striving to put it into action. They adopted JMJ's Incident and Injury Free Program and it's working. As a woman I was allowed to be the project manager on a $117 million construction project. I don't know of another construciton company that would give a woman that opportunity.
Cons – There are still many managers who are dinosaurs and they instill their archaic attitudes into younger managers.
Advice to Senior Management – Get down in the weeds more. The Australian business values are clashing with American business culture. The ideals you are trying to instill don't make it down to the project level because there are managers who kill them along the way.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Lend Lease full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Very good benefits. Good training. Decent pay. Flexibility. Nice co-workers.
Cons – Good ole boy network. If you are connected, you are fine. Inefficiencies produce repeated duplication of work effort. Very heavy work load and very long hours with very high demand for results. Review process is cumbersome, lengthy and usually does not apply to current tasks.
Advice to Senior Management – The 7 P's apply strongly. Take a good look at the reasons for so much inefficiency.

Current Employee – been working at Lend Lease
Pros – - Ability to drive your own learning curve
- once you prove your ability, opportunities will be given to you regardless of rank
Cons – - Can be somewhat political, even at middle managerial level
- Less support when you first arrive. You are left to find your own way around to a degree.

Former Employee – worked at Lend Lease as an intern for less than a year
Pros – I made friends while I worked there and really enjoyed the ability to have good co-worker relationships.
Cons – It was demanding work and there was pressure from above to do everything right. The work atmosphere would go downhill very quickly if the construction job went off the timeline.
Advice to Senior Management – Simplify the process of employee reviews and promotions. It is lengthy and could be much more effective by condensing it and making it straight to the point. Also, be mindful of overworking employees.

Current Employee – been working at Lend Lease full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Quality of people in the firm.
Cons – "Objective" performance reiviews do not apply to Lend Lease Senior Executives that run the company in the US and Australia. The stock drop and they get raises and promotions.
Advice to Senior Management – The revenue comes from the projects.

Current Employee – been working at Lend Lease full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – - A good variety of project types (high-rise commercial, multi-unit residential, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail)
- A fairly pleasant work environment
- Multiple office location in the US and abroad allow for relocation flexibility
Cons – - A highly corporate environment with strongly maintained management policies which may not relate to everyone. People who seek a less hierarchical, quick decision, flexible policy office need not apply.
- Compensation and promotion system in place strives for transparency but is still more of a "senior level closed door session".

Current Employee – been working at Lend Lease
Pros – The company is open to innovation, but you need to push them. You always feel supported by management. This is a good place to work.
Cons – The IT situation is awful. Asa new hire you get 8 year old hand me down computers and equipment. The national IT hotline is not effective.
