    Pros

Delivering results that meet or exceed goals is rewarded with trust, compensation, development for further opportunities, etc. Although the company has a significant global presence, it still has that small company, almost "family" feel, and the level of talent that each of my co-workers have, continually amazes me.

    Cons

Like working at any of the HVACR companies, this business is closely tied to housing starts, commercial builds, and of course, the weather. So be prepared for lean times, and be ready to chip in and bear the burden of the down-cycles when they occur.

    Pros

Pretty conservative which means not easily affected by market fluctuations. They don't hire and fire admin staff just due to seasonal demand or lack thereof.

    Cons

Not too many growth opportunities in terms of title/level. But then they also do not blindly create positions just to satisfy the whims of one.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good job. Your positive attitude and keeping reasonable expectations, even in hyper market growth phases has kept this company a tight ship.

    Pros

Lennox has very good Medical Benefits compared to other companies in the HVAC industry.
Training and learning are becoming more of a focus, which is great to be a part of.
Good opportunities to grow with the company.

    Cons

Lennox, like most large companies can lose sight of the individual. Sometimes people are left in positions just because of longevity, not because of their ability or expertise.

    Advice to Management

It would be good for management, especially senior, to make sure all of their direct reports are really doing what is best for Lennox and their employees. Managers need to remember they work with people, not products.

    Pros

Lennox has a reputation for integrity, excellence, and quality. This is found in the development, manufacturing ad distribution of the Lennox products.

    Cons

Within a larger corporation, some performance recognition and reward is lost. I do not have any additional negative feedback to provide.

    Advice to Management

I do not have any advice to management to provide.

    Pros

Lennox has lots of opportunities to learn all different aspects of the HVAC industry. There is enough work to keep you busy, but not so much that you cannot learn a new skill set in the process. Management was always willing to work with everyone and was always encouraging attending school, classes or seminars. They always tried to be fair in their assements of employees. Everyone seemed to get along very well, not a lot of small groups plotting against one another or back stabbing going on. Overall it was a really pleasant place to work. I kick myself for leaving.

    Cons

The work can be a bit predictable and some of the processes are slow

    Advice to Management

Contiune to support and help your employees grow and develop their skills.

    Pros

management needs a more strategic vision to get things done. there are far too many headaches that just don't exist at other companies. The pay and company culture more than make up for the headaches.

    Cons

Bureaucratic! This company can be super bureaucratic. At times it's just best to avoid a lot of long-term career development as marginal performers stay here for years because of limited competition.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to some of the younger people. Get away from the policies that make that make the company antiquated and unappealing to recent graduates. Tighten up *some* of the performance issues and promote innovation and competition.

    Pros

Best products and programs to sell in the industry. Employee focused culture. Outstanding career growth opportunities for high performers. TM role is very autonomous and corporate gives high level of authority to the field sales team.

    Cons

Internal software (SAP) is outdated and in desperate need of updating. Customer service reps could use some polishing and coaching/training.

    Advice to Management

Keep developing cutting edge products and programs. Train customer service reps better and make sure you are hiring quality people for those roles.
