I have been working at Lenovo
Pros – Opportunity to travel to China --- and --- to gain international experience that can be used in your next job.
Cons – No Opportunity for Advancement. Intelligent employees assigned to work with incompetent consultants. Managers and executives lie -- and HR covers.
Advice to Senior Management – Review managers, executives and consultants. Review the qualifications/skills of the many, unqualified employees filling executive, IT, technical and engineering positions in Morrisville.

I have been working at Lenovo
Pros – Great products.Great Customer Service. Exciting new CEO.
Cons – Older people are left behind in promotions. Customer service is NOT included in any Big bonus's
and are told NOT to go to events, because it's all about sales.
Advice to Senior Management – Remember, ALL employees make Lenovo a winner. Customer service does bring money in buy
saving sales and treating our customer base with the respect .We solve the customer problems
and make sure they are 120% happy! To the new CEO, Good luck.

I worked at Lenovo
Pros – Great product, gaining market share world wide, great customer service and supply chain management.
Cons – Low level of career advancement if starting in entry-level
Management looks out more for their career than helping employees
Advice to Senior Management – Analyze current employees as well as new employees for talent rather than a body to fill a sales job.

I worked at Lenovo
Pros – It is a friendly enviroment.
Cons – The company is like a vacuum or silo. No one knows what others do and how to integrate with one another.
Advice to Senior Management – The management team needs to listen to the Sales team more closely regarding sales strategies within accounts and also to better align internal processes in place.

I have been working at Lenovo
Pros – Lenovo is a truly ground-breaking company - the first Chinese company to really go build a global brand. If you want to gain first hand experience on what has propelled the Chinese economy over the last decade plus, Lenovo's non-sales teams (corporate functions such as product development, product marketing, supply chain, finance, etc.) provide a great opportunity to understand a Chinese company from the inside.
Cons – Lenovo operates as a global company - key sites are all around the globe (North Carolina, Beijing, ShenZhen, Singapore, etc.) - so expect your work-life balance to take a hit as you'll be on the phone at all hours of the day.
Advice to Senior Management – It seems all the power has shifted back to Beijing - don't forget the things you learned when you hired wai guo ren to help go global.

I have been working at Lenovo
Pros – Good Products ( ThinkPad is a great product)
Flexible work schedule (if you come in early, you can leave early)
Cons – Low Pay
Moral low
Greedy management
"Sweat shop" like atmosphere- people stacked on top of each other to save a buck
50% workforce is contract (save $)
No opportunities for growth
No training
No recognition
Micro managed (daily activity quota)
Advice to Senior Management – Please understand you have a great product but the people selling the product is what makes the company go. Show recognition to employees. Management be involved in training for employees. Allow people to work from home sometimes

I worked at Lenovo
Pros – Loved the strong team I worked with in Mobile Software Test and Development. We supported and encouraged each other to strive for a better and more efficient work environment with each project and task.
Cons – Not all teams were as strong or flexible as ours, so it is not across all departments. Management in most departments at the time were very disconnected and were only interested in their own growth and accomplishments - no management support at all.
Advice to Senior Management – Learn and understand each team members strengths and weaknesses, and help each team member grow in a direction they feel comfortable with. Offer growth options based on the strengths that you observe of your team members. Encourage your team members to become a part of the creation.

I have been working at Lenovo
Pros – Great pay
Global company
Fast growing company
Cons – No work/life balance
Unreasonable demands
Unorganized organization
No on the job training
HR department is unbelievable- took months for them to set me up on direct deposit, 401k and insurance.
My manager is far from the daily activities of the organization.
Advice to Senior Management – Look at other successful companies and how they train and attain their employees.
