I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Tough to find one. Some genuine people but they leave quickly. Great Denver location in up and coming neighborhood

    Cons

Passive aggression around every corner. Who you know is more important than what you know. Huge egos prevent real innovation. If you are a woman, be prepared to top out at manager unless you happen to know someone that will give you a token position but no authority

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house and start over - take out the trash- even the ones that have protection.

I worked at Leprino Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good compensation compared to other similar companies.
There are some really nice people.
    Stable company that is growing.

    Cons

Very little work life balance. Many people have accumulated health problems and family issues due to stress and unmanageable workloads. You can see this in several people that have started out in great shape and left with 50-100 extra pounds and the look of extreme fatigue on their faces.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take your Caliper assessment off your refrigerator and get over yourselves.

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and salary, very profitable company and very stable, leadership had grown more and more progressive over the past few years. International growth. Huge top of the line new plant in Greeley. Good active programs as well for employees (great gym, health and welfare committees, corp 5K, etc.)

    Cons

Not the nicest locations for plants, but the corporate office is one of the nicest in Denver.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue recent trend with progressive ideas, and look forward to that trend perhaps accelerating with the planned exec leadership changes at the end of the year.

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very profitable company and long history in the business. A near monopoly with customers. Customers have no real choice so they must do business with LFC.

    Cons

Take a look at some of the serious statements about the leadership of this organization. These are all true. If you are unemployed an need a job the work here until you find a good ace to work. Find former employees on linked in an connect. Then ask them what is I really like. Almost all operations people are unemployable at a larger advanced company. Most are incompetent and simply say yes to keep their lavish compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell to public company so these poor employees might be led by competent leaders

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and stability as long as you play their game.

    Cons

Everyone is miserable there. Whether they admit it and/or not or show it or not. Remember the old adage, "sh!t rolls down hill". Which is never more evident than at Leprino.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

which? middle or upper management? ok to middle management... Keep on doing what you are doing and kiss a$$, play their game because you wouldn't know what to do with yourself anywhere else. Upper Management... Who cares... you already made your bed so "lie" in it and continue to roll around in that Leprino "slop".

    Pros

I worked in transportation for 7 years and only left because I had to move closer to my family.
Great place to work! Get your foot in the door and off you go. I wish I had stayed with them and living in Denver. Great quality of life....

    Cons

None, pay is competetive, benefits are good and they have oppty in many parts of the world.
    Work/life balance is excellent

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice people and nice facilities. They can pay well, depending on your level. Longer term employees tend to have a high level of pride and loyalty.

    Cons

It's not a great place to work if you are not very detail oriented. And, they don't like to change the way they do things, so be prepared to assimilate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the great people you have hired contribute more.

I have been working at Leprino Foods full-time

    Pros

Over the past 1 1/2 years, our new CIO from Pepsi has made some very good changes in IT and set a good direction for the future. Excited about our culture in IT. Additionally, our CFO (soon to be CEO) who is also from Pepsi is also driving good changes in the Finance departments as well. Proud to say we have a good culture, strong management, better business alignment, and are well funded. Night and Day from where we were 4 years when I started. Looking forward to the future a Leprino Foods.

    Cons

Some of the legacy employees have been challenged with new environment and changes in culture, management, etc. Things were relatively static for so many years that change, regardless of how positive, can be difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep good communicate and commitment to our Mission and Vision of IT.
