  1. Fun company to work for.

    Pros

Laid back environment. Not very stressful. Great benefits- insurance, many vacation days, most holidays off. Get to learn about new devices.

    Cons

Too many lay offs. Lack of communication with corporate. Seems like the people in corporate don't have a sense of reality and make decisions that don't work.

    Advice to Management

Start letting the employees know what's going on before the customers do.

I worked at LetsTalk.com Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - The workplace environment is very laidback, coworkers are friendly, nice to each other and always willing to lend a hand.

    Cons

Everything else. Management is not on the same page, every supervisor makes up their own rules, people are treated as replaceable. I worked there for 2 months, starting off as a temp. Many of us specifically asked if we'd be sticking around for a while or if it was just seasonal (with Black Friday coming up around the corner). We were told face to face, and I quote, "you are all here because we only chose the candidates we believe are suited for the betterment of this company long-term, you will not be laid off after the holidays, only you decide your own fate." It is now Dec. 1st of 2014, and we all found out through our temp agency that the company laid off most, if not all of us. They lie to you in order to keep you around long enough for them to squeeze all the hours they can out of you. To whomever may be reading this, I hope you all stay far away from this company. It's still at the point where it transitioning from LetsTalk.com Inc to CONSENSUS CORP. It is owned by Target, and this particular place is located at North Richland Hills.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating people like crap, because this is what brings down a company. I am truly enraged, because you made me feel dirty. You made me place all of my hopes of being there long-term. And I'll make sure to write a review of my experience in every single job site I know.

    Pros

    - great commissions if you apply yourself - respectful management - great atmosphere among coworkers - great benefits - fun events to motivate and encourage sales

    Cons

    - not much chance to be promoted - very focused on numbers. But if you apply yourself and use time wisely, this will not be an issue for you - favoritism does happen between managers and employees - can be somewhat repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Switch it up by Allowing reps to take on different tasks to avoid boredom. Allow promotion of people who take initiAtive and that and that want to move up within the company.

    Pros

It's not a huge megacorp so you have the opportunity to get involved in more aspects of things than you would at larger companies.

    Cons

Technically things work and are sound, but little innovation happens.

    Advice to Management

The company could work together more - but you guys need to lead by example.
