A job to pay the bills

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee)
High Point, NC

I have been working at Levolor

ProsThe benefits are ok, they give you some time off but dont really let you use it whenever you want, and be prepared to work holidays because customer service never closes

ConsThey grand father you in at a snails pace, and there is no feeling of job satisfaction. the harder you work the higher they raise the bar

Advice to Senior ManagementGive more responsibility to employees and a chance to learn more about the business

Not a "Best Places to Work in Atlanta" that it claims to be

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I have been working at Levolor

ProsGreat time off if you need for family issues, good benefits, nice building to work in

ConsManagement, favoritism for promotions, layoffs every 7 years due to new CEO's being appointed. You can set your watch to it.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

NAS is NOT A SALES POSITON

National Account Specialist (Current Employee)
High Point, NC

I have been working at Levolor

ProsGood benefits, fair compensation, company vehicle.

ConsPoor company communications and upfront description of job and expectioantion. The NAS position is presented as a sales position. The reality is, 90% of your time is merchandising your accounts. If you like resetting stores, working with tools and a drill, you might enjoy this job. If you like professional sales, being able to track and get compensated for your personal success, you'll want to steer clear!

Advice to Senior ManagementBe honest about the postion and daily activities. Understand that if a person has a regional terriotroy and travels, it is unrealastic to expect them to spend 8 hours a day working in accounts when 50 % of their time is also needed to travel between accounts. The NAS postion should be split between store merchandisers and professional account managment trainers and sales people.

Good training ground... No work life balance! Not based on numbers?

Sales Representative (Former Employee)
Newark, NJ

I worked at Levolor

ProsGood training but start looking after a year.

ConsI had three managers in a year. They are number two in the industry because the competition is stable. My territory had 3 reps in 3 years. Work performance not based on numbers more on business Acumen?

Advice to Senior ManagementLess emphasis on daily tasks and more emphasis on connecting with associates to build relationships. Very scattered working environment, 7 days a week is common with no family life balance you are never able catch up with your work. Learn from Bali you have a bad turnover rate and associates do not like the arrogant attitude of managers or trainers when they come to visit.
