    Pros

    - Great people, very talented (rank and file), most try really hard under the most trying circumstances
    - Benefits on par with other companies

    Cons

    - Sr Management - Directors, VPs, SVPs, CMOs, COOs, and CEO are old boy's club at best, inept at worst, They have no vision, no plan. They suck the company dry with their first class airfares, Ritz Carlton hotel stays and car service. The Sales force has been told there is NO money for anything right now - no raises, no marketing budget, no money to take customers out for a meal.
    - Product is failing miserably against competition, but leaders are happy to be #3 in market of 3.

    Advice to Management

Dump your current management staff (Director and above) and put people in who care about the company instead of lining their own pockets. Quit telling employees that it is their own fault the product won't sell - admit Advance is a dog.

    Pros

If you're looking for an easy job, this is the place for you.

    Favorable work-life balance
    Competitive compensation
    Friendly people to work with

    Cons

Incredibly sales driven. If you're in any marketing-related field, don't bother. Leadership doesn't understand (or care about) the value these functions can bring.

    Advice to Management

Learn to play nicely with each other.

    Pros

Great people, great customers, the ability to be autonomous. Benefits are what is to be expected. Flexible schedules most of the time.

    Cons

Utterly worthless Sr level managers (Directors and V.P.s). It's a boy's club atmosphere, and an old one at that. Few opportunities for women managers to advance.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of all managers in RLS at the Director, VP and CEO level. Get some new ideas.

    Pros

Management was fair and open-minded. Very comfortable, corporate work environment. Paid time off policy where your allotted days off were lumped together so that you can decide how you want to use your vacation/sick/personal days. Good health/retirement benefits. Friendly and fair upper management. I wasn't "micro-managed" which is a big plus.

    Cons

Salary was on the low end for position. Raises/bonuses were meager for department.

    Pros

Everyone in the office was very nice and plenty of training was offered. There was also unlimited free coffee at the time!

    Cons

The main downside was that I felt there was little room advancement as I was hired through a temp firm.

    Advice to Management

I would never change the free coffee policy.

    Pros

Great team and middle management. Dedicated, smart people, though many of them are contractors and not full-time employees. Decent salaries and benefits. Large, reputable corporation behind this division.

    Cons

Poor upper management and little to no communication with employees at large. A major shift is taking place that employees know about but management will not reveal, killing morale. Lots of water cooler doom talk. Rumors of further layoffs. Seemingly no day-to-day management of workforce. No path for future advancement, except maybe for MBA/think tank types.

    Advice to Management

See cons and address those, if improving this company is a priority that management is interested in.
