I worked at Lids full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun, just like most retail jobs but no shirts to fold, decent discount, there's a lot of stores so you can easily transfer. Making hats is fun

    Cons

The pay is not great, managers required to work over 40 hours, the customers are pretty bad even for retail. Making hats isn't fun if you're not good at it and it can be stressful

    Advice to Management

None really, it's a typical retail job where whoever is above you is always saying do better, get more sales, etc. you either can handle it or you can't

I worked at Lids part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a very easy retail job. Customers are easy to handle and hats basically sell themselves. The hours are also cool becuase you are in a mall and on the weekends you close early.

    Cons

I didnt like the management of the store and the managers higher up. They need to let the on store manager handle the inventory so they can please the customers more.

I worked at Lids full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced environment (which helped pass the constant single staffed, 12 hour shifts.) Learn a lot about sports teams; Meet many different types of people.

    Cons

Second worst job in my LIFE !! ! No ability to contact management above District Manager (grievances were discussed with the person it was about); Bullied and threatened by District Manager; No breaks and rarely any other staff in store; No room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Make a point to inform all employees (not just management) of how to address issues, concerns and complaints, in a way that doesn't feel like their job is in jeopardy.
