    Pros

I love what I do. Being a Hospice Aide. And tht all changed when the corporation too over. A $00 .01 is ludacris.

    Cons

Does not pay well. High turnover rate. Puts a lot of mileage on your vehicle within months. Changed the atmosphere of the company when they took over.

I worked at Life Choice Hospice full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed helping families and patients. I enjoyed most of the people I worked for and with.

    Cons

It was hard to convince others to use LifeChoice when there was so much turnover of LPNs and RNs.

    Advice to Management

Figure out why high quality people are leaving and do what needs to be done to keep them.

HRVP had no real HR experience- the company was all drama- lots of whispering- laid people off in the worst way- no respect for the employee just $$$

    Advice to Management

fold the business- it was a terrible place to work- and you will probably get charged with medicare fraud...

I worked at Life Choice Hospice full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Caring coworkers who are team players. The offices I worked out of were places you could learn if you were assertive about your needs.

    Cons

The customer is not the patient, but rather whoever could generate referals. Consequently, "shmoozing" was a priority. Staff turnover was extreme among Nurses, at least 60% per year, 100% for branch administrators, 50% for dco's . As a result we were always short staffed with caseloads typically running 50-100% above company guidelines. As salaried employees, the work week was typically 50 hours. Health insurance was poor, with annual premiums of 7K yearly for an 8K deductable.

    Advice to Management

Without attending to a safe and sane workload, an appreciation for what staff does right as well as micromanaging shortcommings, I fear the turnover and burnout will continue
