Current Employee – been working at Life Technologies as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Nice environment, nice people, good training systems (at least awareness to arrange different trainings to suit employees' / sometimes company's needs) , flexible time...In all, a place worth staying for one who's willing to follow the suit
Cons – Team-work spirit is not very high (at least in my team, everyone's good at just doing their part of job). Cross-department cooperation is not very effective due to poor communications. Manager's skills are yet to be developed. Salary is so-so, on par in the industry to say the best.
Advice to Senior Management – Think about how to really motivate employees as some tremendous talents are buried in daily routines.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Life Technologies
Pros – This company has a lot of good products.
Cons – Currently, the global leadership don't know how to do a bigger business after Invitrogen acquired Applied Biosystems. The CEO is only purchasing for bigger business but doesn't know how to maintain the long-term business.
Advice to Senior Management – The current global leadership is full of niave person and kiss-asses. They don't know how to respect a glorious businss which they never touched before and learn from it.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
