I have been working at Life Time Fitness full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It is extremely fun to work at this gym, there are a lot of good looking people so you might find a date! Also the quality is superb

    Cons

Challenges are being overlooked sometimes for positions, new hire hours suck, you do not get your family and friends on a membership for free like a lot of people may think

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only advice that i would give to upper management is to keep policies consistent so that we aren't always having to change it for the members

I have been working at Life Time Fitness full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good pay, very easy to make A LOT of money, the opportunity to dabble in many facets of the business, high energy atmosphere, generally great atmosphere working in club, entrepreneurially-minded individuals will love the challenge, innovative ideas are constantly circulating as a company.

    Cons

Some may think workload is too much, unconventional hours, it's also very easy to NOT make a lot of money ... it all depends on drive, not a job for someone who is used to sitting at a desk hoping to collect a paycheck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Generally speaking, good job. It would be valuable to not only evaluate the results and success as an aggregate but also the "CONTEXT" of the results, and thoroughly look at cause and effect.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get a free membership, meaning access to tons of workout equipment, basketball court, swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, cafe and spa. Its like a resort! The fellow employees are friendly and helpful, and the bosses, although fast paced, are also kind.

    Cons

Pay is slightly low ($9.00) but not too bad. Cannot think of anything else, but I just started.

I worked at Life Time Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I really enjoyed the perks of the job... free membership which means free pool use and locker rooms.
They held regular department meetings with a focus on professional and personal self improvement.

    Cons

I can't think of any. I thought it was a well thought out company that worked well with improving the in's and out's of it's clients and employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I was always concerned about the national company. Stocks were low and we didn't really know how secure the company would be in the long haul. Of course, I didn't stick around long enough to find out... so....

I worked at Life Time Fitness full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Love the interaction with the gym members. Over time you really get to know the people, who come in. Fast pace environment. You are rarely left without anything to do.

    Cons

Lack of raise or promotion despite delivering excellent service. I completely understand that management is trying to stretch their budgets as far as they can, but keeping their employees happy should be number one. I only worked for one who understood that keep value.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should definitely focus on promotions, because the great talent that is there will leave over time and if you are member focused, those members love seeing those team members that they have gotten to know that drives them coming back to the gym month after month.
