I have been working at LifeCell full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall Lifecell has a good working environment especially for those who just graduated in the field of bio science/bio pharmaceutical. A perfect training ground, from Day 1 you will get trained and be hands on within a week. Salary wise, very competitive..

    Cons

New work schedule is a little tough esp for those with families. Some schedules require you to work on Saturdays or Sundays.

    Pros

My manager was very nice, 3 weeks vacation, flexible hours. I got laid off during one of the many waves of layoffs after the company was acquired, and the severance package was generous.

    Cons

Colleagues were obnoxious, work was unfulfilling, and no potential from growth. I hated coming to work everyday, even considered going out on disability for mental anguish because I couldn't stand being there. Annual bonuses and raises were a joke.

    Advice to Management

None, this company sucks and no one can fix it.

    Pros

That you have some kind of job

    Cons

Too much politics, uncertain place to work, no future or growth, not expected to be around for very long. Workers do and come in whenever they want, no management what so ever and no directions/work procedures. Most workers are linked. Corrupt HR department

    Advice to Management

LEAR WORK ETHICS AND PROCEDURES BEFORE YOU GET JOB THERE

    Pros

Good benefit. High growth company. Opportunities to learn new things. Cross-function collaboration.

    Cons

Not much room for personal career growth. More internal competition than collaboration. Too much Politics.

I have been working at LifeCell

    Pros

Salary is competitive with comparable medical device companies. Flexibility exists to accommodate continuing education schedules. Cross training between functional areas is available when there is practical alignment with business functions. Products and and supporting science is exceptional and provide remarkable long term outcomes for patients in need.

    Cons

Benefit package slope is negative. Employee stock purchase plan no longer exists. Performance bonus payout does not meet employee expectations. Despite positive earnings and strong market presence, personnel and management changes perpetuate.

    Advice to Management

Focus greater effort to retain and in some cases restore the talent pool? Bolster morale by reestablishing incentive packages. Give back rewards to employees who are the greatest asset. Customers buy products but maintain relationships with employees.

    Pros

To be quite honest, there aren't many pros of working here that I can think of.

    Cons

So much gossip!!!!! People talk about each other behind their backs. EXTREME FAVORITISM! Some employees, even managers, can show up late, leave early, take extra vacation days but when you ask to leave early for a doctors appt it's like the end of the world. Also, you know it's bad when sales reps keep leaving in bulk to go to competitors. No one wants to work here so they keep hiring junior people who dont know what they're doing. Sales quotas are UNOBTAINABLE. Managers dont know what they're doing. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone fair. You cant expect sales reps to want to sell this product if they dont respect the company and the people they work for.

    Pros

If you look at the reviews the only positive ones are of interns or of ones that were written years ago.

    Cons

LifeCell was acquired by a larger entity in oct 2014- since then the company has really gone down hill. There is no more work-life balance. Everyone walks on eggshells all day, afraid of saying the wrong thing or afraid of getting fired. Its very cliquey. If you arent friends with the right people, your experience will be very bad. STAY AWAY. I wouldnt come here even if you are desperate.

    Advice to Management

Get some stability at the company. People are getting fired left and right and members of the senior management team continue to quit. Sales rep continue to leave in large batches and go to competitors
