    I worked at LifeCell full-time

    Pros

    The people are very friendly.

    Cons

Leadership needs improvement. Promotions are RARE. No perks at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get it together or you will continue to loose important employees and their company knowledge. Try giving some non-exempt employees some perks other than a monthly birthday cake. Be aware that work/home balance is important to a lot of employees. Start promoting from within. Be seen by employees by walking around the floor. Be true to your word.

I worked at LifeCell full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Pros were you get to only work 4 days but they are 10 hour days. Managers are extremely nice. Some nice people to work with, funny etc. Get to work lots of overtime to make a lot of money!

    Cons

They have some very strange people that work there. They pretty much got hired out of the ghetto. Watch for very shady people. Not enough people work here in production and they are hurting for people. Too many people quit because of the new schedule which is terrible!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I HIGHLY suggest they go back to the old schedule or more people are just going to quit.

I have been working at LifeCell full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Nice people. Birthday cake once a month. Company phone

    Cons

No opportunity for job growth and development, downsizing is expected. Director level and above are disconnected from mangers and below. Very low office morale. Managers and Directors punish the performers by setting unrealistic deadlines and providing no resources then hold them accountable and justify no bonus or raise. Managers threaten employees with job security to "increase productivity" and document everything possible to present to HR/Director level to cover themselves. Working late nights weekends is expected with no respect for personal schedules.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward the employees who generate results. Hire permanent positions not TEMPS. Promote within. Set realistic goals. Show enthusiasm in your employees because the impression is that you selfish and/or don't care. Stop hiding behind your desks. Treat everyone equally.

I worked at LifeCell as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Excellent flexibility for an internship. Good tour of biomedical industry. Enjoyable variety in workload. Good hourly compensation.

    Cons

Didn't spend enough time here for a thorough review of politics or the company's internal struggles. They have had several changes in management and leadership, going public and private alternately in the past. Not sure what that does for stability.

Great people and very disciplined! They spent lots of attention and time devoted to training their employees. All in all my experience was positive.

    Cons

Not enough work in the pipeline. They spent more time and attention on training their employees and not enough effort into building their pipeline, resulting in loss of jobs.
