Former Employee – worked at Lifesouth Community Blood Center part-time for more than a year
Pros – Flexible hours .
Mid managers and fellow staff members were pleasant to work for/with.
It really is hard to think of 20 positive words to say about Lifesouth community blood center.
Cons – Lots and lots of micromanaging.
The interview process for an menial admin job was well over an hour.
Kind of disgusting how much upper management / executives make considering it's a non-profit.
No room for advancement.
Advice to Senior Management – Restructure your top tier pay scales and allocate more of that money to opening new branches and benefiting the people for which blood donation was intended instead of treating it as a money grab for executives.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Lifesouth Community Blood Center full-time for less than a year
Pros – Talented and supportive co-workers helped a new team member get up to speed quickly.
Cons – Very high turnover among software developers. They only have 3 developers yet they are frequently advertising for another. They are known in town for a high turnover and letting good people go without good reason.
Advice to Senior Management – Manage strategically, employ middle managers that you trust and stop demanding input on day to day design decisions.

Current Employee – been working at Lifesouth Community Blood Center
Pros – The best reason to work for LifeSouth; is the scheduling. The lab manager is pretty decent in allowing time off on short notice.
Cons – Annual pay raise is a little skimpy at times but they have been decent in performing cost of living assessments.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the work force a bit more.
