    Pros

my co workers are awesome sauce and a good work/home life balance

    Cons

very low pay too much work and lack of yearly raises. there are people here for over five years still making the same salary they started with. no opportunity for real growth. service coordinators are the highest paid employees (at $31,000 with a bachelors degree ) baring mid and high level administrative staff

    Advice to Management

pay your front-line workers more or lighten the work load. it would make the low pay easier to take

    Pros

Overtime money is good. There really isn't any good pros about this kind of employer. Their only focus is to make money while under paying staff.

    Cons

Overtime comes about when someone was fired for no particular reasons. The company prides itself on being an at will company. If they don't like you while on probation for any reason or none at all, they will fire you.

    Advice to Management

Have some ethics and morals. Take a class on how to be a decent human being and employer.

    Pros

Good environment, most of my coworkers are great to get along with.

    Cons

The pay. Study for four years, earn your BA just to be paid less than 40,000

    Advice to Management

Managers and VPs should at least have a high school diploma and not a GED.

    Pros

Family style environment with some opportunities to grow. You will learn skills such as CPR, AMAP (drug administration) and SCIP(R) as part of your training. You will also learn a lot of patience as it is sometimes stressful when dealing with disabled adults (mentally or physically). 403 (b) with at least 28 hours with healthcare included.Overtime. Tuition reimbursement plan. A union. What they lack in pay they somewhat make up for it in benefits.

    Cons

LOW pay. It's insane. You have to change diapers, administer medication (or help the nurse), bathe, feed, cook for , clothe, exercise, do laundry, do nightly bed checks, reposition and socially engage with consumers on a daily basis for about $9.00 an hour in some houses. No one is saying that it is not the right of a consumer to be clean and speak to others, but when you are dealing with another persons urine, feces and in many cases, their blood, you get upset that your only getting a few dollars over minimum wage. It's also physically taxing with the very disabled because they are heavy and not always well behaved. It's not their fault but honestly, it's hard work.

    Advice to Management

Pay homes that deal with the severely physically disabled more money. At least $13.00 an hour to assist with people who cannot even take a shower alone. Persons who work directly with the DD population should get paid as much as those who sit in their chairs and orchestrate the chaotic melody that this business dances to. Turnover would not be so frequent if you did. Also,be more organized and demand homes to run like well oiled machines. New staff should only be allowed in homes when they are fully trained due to the severe nature of this business. It is unproductive and dangerous to have half trained staff in nearly unpredictable situations.

    Pros

It's flexible and u can go to school while you work. Also has good benefits. A union is also in the package

    Cons

Unfair management styles, work is not fairly spread around. The pay is also very low. Mandated to work is relief doesn't come

    Advice to Management

Management should also help out in some of the work. Spread tasks around easily an fairly. That should make it better
