I worked at Lifestyle Family Fitness full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I worked the front desk, they called it a member services representative position. Basically I just scanned key cards all day and filed papers. Not a lot of stress and I worked 40 hours per week.

    Cons

It was a minimum wage job, and it could be extremely boring at times (I worked 4:30am-noon).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice really. They pay poorly because it's a job which requires very little stress or skill

    Pros

The relationships that are developed with staff and clients. Working in a health club is very rewarding helping people change their lifestyle.

    Cons

For me not overworking myself. I really involve myself with my work and tend to work more than the average person.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great place to work and great benfits and incentives.

    Pros

Great atmosphere, get to meet lots of people coming into the clubs. Help people get started to achieving better health.

    Cons

Too much politics, if not in tight with higher ups much more was expected from you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just because someone can sell doesn't mean they can manage.

I worked at Lifestyle Family Fitness full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Free gym membership, way to get started in sales

    Cons

High-pressure sales tactics, pressure from management to bring in an expected amount of leads/appointments/sales per day. If you don't mind calling people numerous times to set appointments and/or going out into the community and approaching strangers to get them into the gym then it might be ok for you.
