    I don't recommend working here

    Coordinator Sales (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

Proslots of opportunity to build experience since there is so much work given to each employee

    Consunreasonable and unstrategic senior management

Advice to Senior Managementfocus more on retaining top talent and minimize turn over

Blah, but employees try to make it work.

    Assistant (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsLifetime Networks can be a positive atmosphere. People seem to like working together and have a sense of humor about the programming. The staff coordinates small office parties in an attempt to keep things interesting. The work gets done pretty efficiently.

ConsDefinite lack of feedback. I never received feedback about my job performance, even when I asked. My manager didn't really know what I was doing from day to day. There were definite cliques that seemed encouraged by those in management. Overall boring workload with few challenges.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate! There were way too many guessing games about their vision or goals.

    Great for students

    Operations (Current Employee)
    Mississauga, ON (Canada)

ProsGreat for students to learn daily skills they will need for when they are living on their own. Not only that there are plenty of activities available for employees to do.

ConsPay is not much and personal growth plateaus very fast. I would consider this position for someone who is new to the country that has great english skills but not for someone who would like to make this a career.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave more team building activities as the position is called "Operations team member"

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Great Internship Learning About Media

    Intern (Former Employee)

ProsGreat opportunity to get exposed to how the back office of a media company operates... great employee comraderie, very welcoming atmosphere

Consunpaid internship policy makes it a bit less appealing, although we did receive a small stipend at the end of the semester

Advice to Senior Managementpaying your interns would encourage them to work harder and be more accountable for what they do, was a great internship and this would only add to it

Incredibly fast-paced but extremely fun and rewarding - great for building your social network!

Head Promotion Marketing Officer (Former Employee)
    Toronto, ON (Canada)

ProsThe networking opportunities are always available; flexible schedules; your results are what you put in.

ConsRequires almost if not all of your weekends and special holidays.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement is flexible if you can deliver what you promise. No micro-management.

    Lifetime Networks

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsTalented people, respectable workplace, strong brand.

ConsMerger with A&E Television Networks as of September 2009.

Advice to Senior ManagementUnfortunately, the Lifetime management team is pretty much gone since the merger with A&E Television Networks.
