    Cons

Never get a moment to sit on downtime, always have to find something to do.

    Pros

Easy job but boring after a while

    Cons

People not in the same page

    Advice to Management

Get more interested on what its going on! Not just trying to cover what you havent try to fix

    Pros

Great Company to work for. Great fun learning environment with great pay and benefits.

    Cons

Houston GMs and DMs not on same page and create too much tension and lower team morale. Personal Training Leadership were wonderful and why I stayed with company for as long as I did.

    Advice to Management

GM's need better training and need to be better leaders. Do not hire someone because they can sell, that should just be one of the qualities, they should be able to lead and motivate.

    Pros

Good Money if you live at the club. Amazing front line team members. You can meet a ton of new people.

    Cons

Aside from extremely unrealistic long hours and expectations, minimal initial onboarding/coaching, and "sink or swim" mentality, EXTREMELY poor management. You are treated like you mean nothing to the business. Every manager is emotional and runs their team under a dictatorship, so you are walking on eggshells constantly since you cannot be sure what mood they are in and what might set them off. VERY Corporate America and do not understand the policies and procedures for associate relations in Canada.

    Advice to Management

Look up Crucial Accountability/Crucial Confrontations/Solutions Focused Coaching and PLEASE consider becoming certified in this. It will help a lot with associate retention and turnover. You are absolutely going to lose all of your decent staff continuing on this path.

    Pros

Great for students to learn daily skills they will need for when they are living on their own. Not only that there are plenty of activities available for employees to do.

    Cons

Pay is not much and personal growth plateaus very fast. I would consider this position for someone who is new to the country that has great english skills but not for someone who would like to make this a career.

    Advice to Management

Have more team building activities as the position is called "Operations team member"

  7. Adequate

    Pros

    Cons

The hours are not the best

    Advice to Management

Have a base pay for dietitians

    Pros

The networking opportunities are always available; flexible schedules; your results are what you put in.

    Cons

Requires almost if not all of your weekends and special holidays.

    Advice to Management

Management is flexible if you can deliver what you promise. No micro-management.

    Pros

Talented people, respectable workplace, strong brand.

    Cons

Merger with A&E Television Networks as of September 2009.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately, the Lifetime management team is pretty much gone since the merger with A&E Television Networks.
