    Pros

Very in the moment with regards to business trends and take actions immediately. Great structure to support business if utilized correctly.

    Cons

Tend to work more than 40 hrs with limited work life balance. Last minute changes are difficult to accommodate sometimes.

    Pros

Their discount is very generous. They have abundant payroll for workload. Staffing makes the schedule very flexible to allow for requests.

    Cons

If you have a womanly figure forget it. If you don't come from money, or grew up a "Lilly girl" they will find a way to move you out the door no matter what experience you bring.

    Advice to Management

If you don't diversify your talent you will limit yourself to mediocre business results. Not everyone grew up in Lilly apparel, nor is it broad minded to think that emoloyees have to have this in order to be successful.

    Pros

Generous discount on amazing, well-made clothes. Fair part-time wages. Encouraging coworkers and a fun work environment. Wages not based on commission, so no catty coworkers! Team selling outlook. Promotions available.

    Cons

Spring and summer are busiest times so it's hard to take a vacation during that time. Clothes still can be pricey even after discount and will add up. Have to be able to work on weekends, but that's the life of working in retail in general.

    Advice to Management

Hiring more sales associates would be a good decision, sometimes the store seems a little short-staffed. Requests off are on a month-by-month basis, so letting the staff know when the new month is posted would be helpful.

    Pros

they love to make work fun, the employee discount is incredibly generous, you throw a lot of parties in store, lots of freedom and variability from store to store

    Cons

When our manager left, we were underemployed for way too long. They have a very delayed interview process

    Pros

    Great team
    Great clothes
    Wonderful discount
    Customers are pretty cool

    Cons

Unreasonable "blackout" dates for vacation, even when compared with other retail stores.
Salaried managers complain about being contacted on their days off, hourly employees are contacted. Expected to always be available.
    "Sorority" atmosphere.
Managers make decisions based on hearsay ("so-and-so told me that so-and-so did xyz!").
Corporate is out of touch and unrealistic.
On any given day, 75% of the staff will be in the break room (while on the clock) doing nothing. When you're on the floor and need support you'll be ignored.
Corporate will send floor sets during operating hours.
Occasionally get criticized for something as simple as taking a break because "you should love your job". However, loving your job doesn't mean you aren't human. Needing to sit down and eat doesn't show that you don't care. People aren't robots.
The salary isn't terrible, but you can make more at Target.

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible. Stop expecting employees to bend over backwards for you. Even if someone loves their job, it doesn't mean that their job is their life.
