Pros
great people and great products
Cons
The company is great, always reacting to business trends, however the workload is incredibly high and you must be a great multi-tasker!
Advice to Senior Management
It would be great if the leadership would take a closer look into the field and red flags and actually respond to things that are happening that are unprofessional
Pros
I loved working here in high school! I was able to get a generous discount on all of my favorite clothes. I learned to become more outgoing being constantly interacting with new people and customers. I would highly reccommend working here is you are first time job hunting.
Cons
I had to work late sometimes if another associate called in sick.
Advice to Senior Management
Store managers should be more strict regarding no show employees.
Pros
Great Benefits, Pay, great people to work with, work environment, great associates, discount, products, hours, promos, supportive, flexible, positive, associate contests.
Cons
Not enought individual company support, too many promotional changes , need to listen to associate feedback. Need to give managers more training outside of the building, workshops to improve their abilities. Not enough incentives
Advice to Senior Management
Need to really believe in a open door policy... who to go to if you want to speak to someone regarding your immediate supervisor.
Pros
Salary, The People, Training, Opportunity
Cons
Very Demanding. Depending on your position, a lot is expected
Pros
I worked alongside a very young, energetic group of employees. Everybody worked hard while at the office and enjoyed relaxed Fridays in the summer (half days). The internship taught me a ton about my division and the other employees were especially willing to help when I had any questions, concerns, suggestions etc. I was really surprised with how much they "cared" about an intern!
We also had quite a bit of exposure to high level executives (I knew the VP of my division on a first name basis)
Cons
Columbus Ohio is not the most exciting city. Also, certain divisions of LimitedBrands (not mine) carried stigmas such as cutthroat, boring, or tedious.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the internship program. There is no better way to test out new talent than trying them for 3 months in the summer!
Pros
One of the top companies to work for.
The company encourages you to be interested in other functions of the company and has programs in place for you to job shadow.
Very good benefits.
Good discount (as home office employee).
Cons
Compensation is lower than I would have preferred, but competitive none the less.
I can't really think of anything else, the company's that good.
Advice to Senior Management
You're doing well so far. Keep listening to your employees regarding their desires to move to different positions in the company.
Pros
- Friendly people
- Challenging work environment
- Fast-paced environment
- Room for growth
Cons
- Common to be late to meetings
- Some tension between departments
Pros
Limited Brands is a stable and innovative company so there is very little need to worry about job termination and security.
Cons
While it is a great company to work for, there is a strive to push for more, which consequently may demand more of you than can be expected.
Advice to Senior Management
Please recognize the potential in the contract associates and treat them with the same respect as any other co-worker, because not doing so brings down morale and ultimately productivity.
Pros
The people are nice and very understanding of flexible hours. I get more then minimum wage.
Cons
I think its embarassing to say I work at Victoria secret sometimes. Im not thrilled with some of the company policies.
Advice to Senior Management
They do a good job.
Pros
Did project work and learned a lot during my time there. If you find a supporter in senior management your career takes off. Unfortunately for most people it's the opposite.
Cons
A case of who you know, not what you know. Saw a lot of people promoted and fast tracked through because they had someone in upper management "walking" them through the ranks.
Operates on the "good ole boy" network. Not as diverse as they talk themselves up to be.
Advice to Senior Management
People should be recognized for the work they do. You claim that your people resources are very important to your success, so make them feel that way. Open and fair communication practices would also be nice.
