  1. Sales Rep turned out to be the most eye opening position I have ever had and I couldn't believe how people were treated.

    I worked at Lincare Holdings

    Pros

Pretty good training in the beginning.

    Cons

The industry is changing and all the corporate managers and area managers are scared to death that they will get a cut in pay. These are not the golden days when the government was paying top dollar for oxygen for medicare patients so the pressure is on and this is a horrible place to work. It is extremely dysfunctional bordering on criminal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop bullying the people that work for you.

    Pros

Benefits are minimal, some offices give unlimited overtime, some mandatory it.

    Cons

NOT A FAMILY ORIENTATED COMPANY AT ALL. Company does little to nothing to show there employees appreciation of any kind. Office will run you into the ground if you let them and still want more. Bonus are not worth the blood, sweat and tears (under $200 quarterly), hourly wages are little for the amount of work, penalized for using sick time. Micro-managing is outrageous. HR covers for the Management...allows them to make up all kinds of rules never listed in employee handbook. HR also allows Management to disrespect there employees by insults and some boarder line racial comments. Employees reports it and HR tells management who said it. Advancement is only available to people who choose the brown-nosing and boot licking route. For those of us who choose to work there way to the top it will never be recognized.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you showed your employees from the lowest in ranking to the highest a little appreciation, it could possibly reduce your turn over ratio. All Levels management should attend professionalism classes.

Management is a joke they provide very little to no training and then expect you to know what to do with any problem.

    Pros

The freedom of being out and about and helping people who need you and your company.

    Cons

Having to uphold the company while not knowing what is actually going on because your told just tell them this and that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should be able to do all aspects of the job not just talk down to people and boss them around.

    I worked at Lincare Holdings

    Pros

You are not tied to a desk.

    Cons

No matter how hard you work or how much business you are responsible for bringing into your center, your paycheck will reflect very little of your hard work. The support team for your success is almost non existent. If you are looking for consistency based on your high performance...keep looking.

I have been working at Lincare Holdings

    Pros

Good benefits, paid holidays,no weekend work unless you want. Unlimited OT. Health care team is always helpful and pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Coworkers are always argumentative, no training, no help from management, coworkers walk over management and management does not write up employee's for insubordination. Service drivers are unpleasant. Management treats service reps like numbers. The work load is ridiculously too much for a 8 hour shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Lincare Holdings

    Pros

None. Well maby the delivery drivers. The drivers are the best even after they are belittled and humiliated in front of the other employees.

    Cons

No written policy & procedure that the employees have, so if they don't like you, old> 55 or have the right size mamemanary glands, they will get rid of you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your DM & CM's are not as good as they tell you. No one will tell you any truth if you tell them that you are managment. Get a p&p for the employees to have as they are hired.

    There really were no pros.

    Cons

No growth, terrible management, no overall company policy and managers are allowed to create their own.

    I worked at Lincare Holdings

    Pros

    My Co workers
It was better than being unemployed

    Cons

    Upper management was horrible.
    Employees were treated like numbers.
    Over worked and under paid.
Area manager and upper management lied to workers on a regular basis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees better. Offer more incentive. I saw more people quit this job than any other. That costs the company more money.
