I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ok money, it was close to home

    Cons

Poor Management, lack of modern equipment

    Advice to Management

Be more i,involved....maybe you would see that the RT or LPN you hired to do cpap set ups smells like an ashtray, he had on bib overalls (serious)

    Pros

casual work environment, nice hours, paid holidays (11 days per year)

    Cons

Management doesn't care about what is happening on the center level. Hard to order equipment for patients, it all depends on your centers numbers. Forget everything you know about patient care and learn how to lie to them to cover your butt.

    Advice to Management

Get out of the corporate office and go spend a day or two driving with a service tech and see how many stops they make a day and how little of that time is spent with the patient. See how hard it is for the CSR's to get through the day with the phones ringing off the hook and being understaffed. Must be nice to drive an Audi or a Jaguar while the other 95% of employees go home worrying about money every day. Change your motto- Lincare is NOT "the caring people".

Sales Rep turned out to be the most eye opening position I have ever had and I couldn't believe how people were treated.

    Pros

Pretty good training in the beginning.

    Cons

The industry is changing and all the corporate managers and area managers are scared to death that they will get a cut in pay. These are not the golden days when the government was paying top dollar for oxygen for medicare patients so the pressure is on and this is a horrible place to work. It is extremely dysfunctional bordering on criminal.

    Advice to Management

Stop bullying the people that work for you.

    Pros

Benefits are minimal, some offices give unlimited overtime, some mandatory it.

    Cons

NOT A FAMILY ORIENTATED COMPANY AT ALL. Company does little to nothing to show there employees appreciation of any kind. Office will run you into the ground if you let them and still want more. Bonus are not worth the blood, sweat and tears (under $200 quarterly), hourly wages are little for the amount of work, penalized for using sick time. Micro-managing is outrageous. HR covers for the Management...allows them to make up all kinds of rules never listed in employee handbook. HR also allows Management to disrespect there employees by insults and some boarder line racial comments. Employees reports it and HR tells management who said it. Advancement is only available to people who choose the brown-nosing and boot licking route. For those of us who choose to work there way to the top it will never be recognized.

    Advice to Management

If you showed your employees from the lowest in ranking to the highest a little appreciation, it could possibly reduce your turn over ratio. All Levels management should attend professionalism classes.

Management is a joke they provide very little to no training and then expect you to know what to do with any problem.

    Pros

You are not tied to a desk.

    Cons

No matter how hard you work or how much business you are responsible for bringing into your center, your paycheck will reflect very little of your hard work. The support team for your success is almost non existent. If you are looking for consistency based on your high performance...keep looking.
