    Pros

Education is an inspiring industry and I loved the part of my job that directly related to helping students achieve their goals. I truly believe LES offers quality education programs and great post graduation career services to motivated students.

    Cons

There are too many complacent people at all levels of leadership and it drags down those who truly bring passion and energy. You can't stay at Lincoln long or your skills will grow stale - they are behind in technology.

    Advice to Management

Shake it up! Look at your staff and find new ways to motivate people to do more.

    Pros

Students are grateful when teachers take care that they are learning. The sincerely motivated students inspire me as an educator to be there for them. Some teachers are very talented.

    Cons

Management will lie about anything to save themselves from their deceitful behaviors. The Shelton Campus needs to install an automatic revolving door necessary to accommodate their high employee turnover. The big joke among non-managment personnel is that employees keep an empty 'Staples Box' close for when their turn comes as so many before them. Non-management employees are expected to carry on the facade that educating students is important to the company. The student retention rate is abominable. Most students realize too late the mistake they made in signing up to attend this school. Realizing how much debt they have accumulated in reading the small print from all the paperwork they signed in the beginning (the small percentage who are paying to attend) while not learning enough to compensate. Anyone who is honest or the least bit gullible will end up with a negative experience. Talented employees find it difficult to continue the charade.

    Advice to Management

You are only fooling yourself. Management by fear, intimidation and deceit is unhealthy for you and your employees and has not earned you respect. You are not in tune with the students or non-management employees. It is understood that your character won't allow for it and foreseeable that you will work to hire more employees who are less capable than you in order appear competent. Communication is severely lacking and we understand that you avoid it. Keep snapping those fingers as you walk around. It gives fodder for us to laugh.

Pay is decent for the work I was doing.

    Cons

High stress, lack of positivity. Enrollments were down when I worked their making opportunity to advance impossible. Not a great work/ life balance depending on your department.

    Advice to Management

    Too negative, too stressed

    Pros

Prior to Lincoln we were a privately owned school where the owner actually cared about the quality of education that was being delivered. We worked and acted like family and there was no doubt at the end of the day we delivered high quality students into the EMS world. Unfortunately Lincoln came in and well the end is history. I can't name anything good that came about through working for Lincoln Educational Services

    Cons

Lincoln has laid off several employees since they took over our school. Not once did they call the employee and tell them they were terminated they just waited for them to find out. Last week they announced the closing of our school in 2 weeks with students 8-10 mths into a yr long program. They told the students by handing them a memo to read. Poor leadership, poor judgement, and zero morals. Don't work for this company or go to school with them...

    Advice to Management

"Where There Is No Vision, There Is No Hope." George Washington.... In short stay out of the schools that you know nothing about and care nothing about. It should be a clue that you are doing something wrong when the best thing your Corporate Executives can brag about is how many schools they have shut down.
