ProsNice, smart, interesting coworkers. Learned a lot. Challenging work. Latest technology. Good pay. Close access to highly likeable and responsive upper management. Good manager.

Excellent culture, Strategy needs Focus

Specialist, Training (Current Employee)
Omaha, NE

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Group full-time for more than 5 years

ProsCulture is excellent for a medium sized company at the division level. A lack of formality and hierarchy makes interactions between entry level to executive level employees common and comfortable.

ConsA fast pace and a forgiving culture means that having a focus on strategic goals tends to fall by the wayside. Leadership while friendly tends to fall more toward an individual contributor level of work instead of a leadership level of work.

Advice to Senior ManagementBrining in more strategic minded and driven leadership will help tighten the leaky ship of processes and goal alignment.

Strong company, takes care of its employees.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Lincoln Financial Group

ProsGreat benefits, strong company, wants to help its employees advance.

ConsIf you're looking to move up in the company, pure talent will no longer get you there. You must network with in the department of which you would like to join and essentially prove your worthiness.

Advice to Senior ManagementLincoln is a great company, you are always looking out for the best interest in your employees. Unfortunately sometimes the best interest or candidate is overlooked due to someone who has ties with management.
