Not a bad place to work. Senior Representatives have all been here for a long time. This company is very conservative.

I have been working at Lincoln Group of Schools full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You are helping people to change their lives everyday. Never a dull moment. There is continuing education to ensure representatives are always compliant with DOE regulations.

    Cons

Hours are very long, and start dates are continuous. There is no work life balance. The only way to be successful is to put in many hours on a continuous bases. Taking a few days off sets you back from your year to date goal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop better systems so employees are able to work smarter not harder.

    Pros

Corporate (Lincoln Group) is great, but that's about it

    Cons

Unorganized, poor pay, management doesn't know what they're doing, poor benefits, no room for advancement, poor communication between management and staff, management likes to play favorites

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The entire campus level management needs to be replaced

I worked at Lincoln Group of Schools full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Online classes allow schedule flexibility for students

    Cons

Extremely poor and frequently revolving management offers no stability for growth, management or operation of the school. Employees and students both pay the price of extremely poor, profit focused business practices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Schools should be focused on the success of students and the development of talented employees. As long as you think of both as expendable and easily replaced, you will not be a quality place of learning or employment. This is why you are closing facilities left and right!

I worked at Lincoln Group of Schools

    Pros

It is an easy job & if you want a low but consistent paycheck for phone sales, this might be perfect for you, just don't ever believe it will ever be more than that.

    Cons

Management consistently passes on misinformation or bold faced lies, way too many meetings and discussions of simple procedures, simple ethical challenges of selling very expensive sub-par education to poor people who don't know any better & throwing them into debt so the stockholders can make an extra buck is the hardest part. No job security, they've hired, laid off, & re-hired at least 3 times in the past 3 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take feedback and suggestions from members of the team. Business reports and PLO will not give an accurate assessment of the company. Also, get a healthcare plan that tells employees you care about them, the huge deductible makes healthcare unavailable to someone without an extra couple thousand laying around.

    Pros

everything is online so it makes the traditional work very easy. If you keep your head down you can work for more than 6 months

    Cons

They go through upper management every six months and each one of them has their own idea of how to do things. Each one fires all tenure.
