I have been working at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center full-time

    Pros

You get a lot of experience and manage some of the sickest patients in the nation.

    Cons

Lack of resources and administrative support. Poor tuition reimbursement, lower wages as compared to other NY hospitals.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of insubordinate, unprofessional, and incompetent people sooner than later. Attempt to change the culture of the units starting with those who have been there longest. Work environment (nursing units) do not support goals for customer service because of established unit culture.

    Pros

Schedule and benefits are good considering the health insurances that are out there.

    Cons

No advancement at least in the Finance Department, The position you come is the position you're leaving as. Too much politics and nothing gets done. The Ego are so big it gets in the way of promoting employees from within, instead of always hiring from outside.

    Advice to Management

Consider and look at your current employees, they deserve advancement opportunities too,

I have been working at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Every day I encounter something new at my job. Types of patients that walk in are varied and interesting.

    Cons

Each day usually starts the second you walk in. It is an extremely fast paced environment and most days it is hard to completely finish what you started. Very few moments of repose. First responder job so no matter what is going outside of the hospital door you MUST be at your job.
