Outstanding company with solid customer service focus

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Linens of the Week

Prostotal dedication to the needs of the customer
good technology and opportunities to advance
ownership and management is truthful in its assesment of performance and supportive when associates need it - especially long term associates

Conscan be a bit "old school" in management techniques
must be comfortable in a "blue collar" environment
office facilities are comfortable but not great - very very quiet offices

Advice to Senior ManagementStay truthful with the associates - they can take it

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

A overall bad experience.

ProsFrom an hourly standpoint, it could be a decent part time job for someone who just needs a little bit of job experience before they find something better.

ConsThe lack of respect from upper management to its employees. There were too many times where weekends were made mandatory, so the balance of work and life is pretty bad. For the hourly employees the pay was not good.

Advice to Senior ManagementRespect your hourly employees and middle management. They are the ones on the front line doing the work. Understand they have a life outside of work so be fair and give them the proper notice if your going to make weekends mandatory.
