    Pros

I was happy to be working with so many experienced people in the industry. I learned a lot during my tenure at the company.

    Cons

I wasn't at the company long enough, but it seems to be a challenge to move up the ranks quickly.

I worked at Lionsgate as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The people there are very accessible. Willing to teach interns and the work was very challenging

    Cons

Wish there were more standard training. The executives are very busy, so the training part could have been better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A great place to work for, I really like the environment there

    Great company

    I worked at Lionsgate

    Pros

There are some really great employees who take time to invest in the interns and make sure they are having a rewarding experience (not just copying pages and delivering mail). Good perks.

    Cons

Like a lot of the entertainment industry, the pay isn't great for assistants and other lower level employees

  7.

Lionsgate provides a lot of opportunity to learn and an enormous amount of responsibility.

I have been working at Lionsgate full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Wide variety of knowledge will be learned. Fun company events, adequate vacation, most people are easy to get along with.

    Cons

Very political, not enough compensation for the amount of work and title.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Lionsgate as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Everyone goes out of their way to help interns, they aren't looked down on. Lots of perks.

    Cons

As an intern you don't get paid, which is to be expected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More intern mixers.

Entrepreneurial attitude required. You need to be the change you want to see in the company.

I have been working at Lionsgate full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

They almost always promote from within, so there's continuous opportunity for vertical movement. Working in the film business can be fun; you can go to free movie screenings. Also, you learn a lot. The relatively smaller staff gives you the change to take on new responsibilities, so it's a great place to learn.

    Cons

Since there is a smaller staff, the opportunity to learn a lot is tempered by the volume of work assigned to one person. More responsibility means more volume and higher expectations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to cater your management style to the personality or demeanor of your direct reports. Yelling is effective for some people, others not so much.

  11.

    Great company, poor middle management

I have been working at Lionsgate

    Pros

Winter break, free health, dental, vision, nice size company, company mixers

    Cons

Analysts who work long hours for show, no work life balance, too many VPs who do not know how to manage, managers who do not get to manage, lower pay, HR that thinks everyone's replaceable

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not value the number of hours worked. It doesn't always mean they are working. Put emphasis on work life balance. Pay better to keep good talent
